Travis Scott has been identified as a suspect in a New York City assault investigation. On Wednesday night, the rapper allegedly got into a fight and attacked a man. Additionally, he is charged with causing damage to club property.

Travis Scott is accused of punching a man in a nightclub in New York City.
The alleged confrontation allegedly happened Wednesday approximately three in the morning at Nebula, a club on 41st Street in New York City. The casualty, a sound engineer who works at the club, is a 52-year-old man, according to sources. The victim alleged that Scott and he got into a verbal argument that quickly turned violent and that as a result, Scott punched the victim in the left side of the face.
Before leaving the scene in his car, the Sicko Mode rapper allegedly destroyed a speaker and a video screen worth $12,000. According to the authorities, the victim didn’t appear to be hurt and didn’t express any pain.
Despite a complaint being made, Scott has not yet been taken into custody. Police are currently looking into the case and looking through surveillance videos for additional information. As of right now, no comments have been made by the rapper’s representatives.
‘Scott was Angry and Intoxicated,’ claims a source who was present at the site of the incident.
According to a nightclub insider, Scott entered the club “angry and inebriated.” The insider also described the specifics of the confrontation. “Travis came in angry and drunk and gradually went postal,” he said. The rapper was allegedly ‘upset by the sound’ and attacked the victim within 10 minutes of his arrival at the club. It was swift and furious, the source claimed. The sound engineer turned down the volume, but after that, “Travis walked over to the sound man and yelled violently in his face about why he decreased the sound, then he smacked the sound man hard across the face” (source).
There was a lot of disturbance between the club security and Travis’ security. Travis then seized a fan’s phone that was being used to record Don Toliver’s performance and hurled it on the ground, the insider continued. Scott will serve as the opening act at Rolling Loud California on Saturday in Los Angeles. It will now be interesting to watch if the inquiry interferes with the concert.
The rapper has already encountered a number of legal issues.
It’s not the first time Scott has run into issues with the law. He entered a guilty plea to disorderly behavior at an Arkansas event in February 2018. He had been accused of instigating a riot a year earlier and had entered a not guilty plea.
During his performance at the Houston Astroworld Festival in November 2021, there was a stampede that resulted in the deaths of 10 individuals. The families of the victims filed 400 lawsuits against the rapper in the wake of the catastrophe.
