The narrative of the ‘Platonic’ Apple TV+ series centres on the friendship between Will (Seth Rogen) and Sylvia (Rose Byrne). After Will got married, their friendship deteriorated. When Sylvia learns that Will is now divorced, she contacts him and they get back in touch. Charlie and Vanessa are now working alone at the company. They keep on drinking, and when they’ve used all of their alcohol, they raid a colleague’s supply. They soon begin to dance, which prompts touching and mock sexual activity. But as soon as they recognise one another’s faces, they rapidly recover.
The action now moves to Charlie and Sylvia’s house, where we witness the former offering the latter an apology. For the next few days, Sylvia treats her husband with a great deal of coldness and deservedly so. Will, Andy, and Reggie are conversing about Will’s future involvement in their kombucha company, Da Booch, at Lucky Penny in the meanwhile. Will visits Sylvia at her house to complain to her about what occurred, but she manipulates him to make Charlie feel more uneasy. The following morning, upon discussing his present romantic dilemma with Charlie, Will is advised to meet with Reggie and Andy individually. Will decides to put this divide and conquer strategy to use by taking Andy out to lunch, where he learns the full nature of what is going on between Sylvia and Charlie.
