Since the early 2000s, Amber Heard has worked as an actress. She dropped out of high school to focus on acting, taking on any part she could find in Los Angeles. She developed a portfolio as she took on more and more roles, which helped her land her first leadership position. Her two consecutive supporting appearances in critically acclaimed films helped her gain public exposure, and she has since gone on to star in other well-known franchises.
February 3, 2023 update: You’ll be pleased to know that we’ve added fresh entries to this site if you came here looking for information about Amber Heard and her finest films or if you’re just interested in the reasons she was well-known before the Depp trial.
Her portrayal of Princess Mera in Aquaman may be one of her most well-known roles. It can be found in the DC Extended Universe, a well-known superhero series that adapts the DC superhero comics for the big screen. In the follow-up, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, which is scheduled to come out in December 2023, she will reprise her part and star. There were reports that she wouldn’t be coming back because of ongoing legal and personal concerns, but she is still in the movie, especially now that filming is over. Take a look at some of Heard’s best movies while we wait for the movie to be released (while the world watched the libel trial with Johnny Depp, for better or worse).
3 Days to Kill
Amber Heard is attracting the attention of some nuns while wearing a little black dress. Relativity
In the film 3 Days to Kill, Kevin Costner’s character, CIA agent Ethan Renner, is fighting a deadly disease while in his final months of life. CIA assassin Vivi Delay, however, believes he can assist her in finding her target, The Wolf, and persuades him to do so by promising him an experimental cancer medicine that could prolong his life. However, in doing so, he puts his family in risk.
Heard portrays the assassin Vivi Delay in this movie, who is crucial to the storyline. Without her, Renner would have never had the chance to attempt to battle his disease, but he also would have had far less difficulties as he attempted to make amends with his family and find The Wolf at the same time. Heard demonstrates that while she has a soft side that shows she is not heartless and is also tough enough to keep him going when he needs it.
All the Boys Love Mandy Lane
Every Boy Loves Mandy Lane is a tale about retaliation and jealousy. While many of her peers are interested in Mandy Lane, she sticks with her best friend Emmet (Michael Welch), who is ridiculed and humiliated by them. One of them, the first of many brutal deaths he commits, is the one he encourages to leap off the roof to his death later.
It is none other than Heard who brings Mandy Lane to life, taking on the distinctive part and making it her first leading role. It is clear from seeing this movie that Heard is skilled at pulling off the kind of girl that guys would fight for while simultaneously concealing something far darker than anyone could have imagined.
Aquaman
In Aquaman, Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa) travels to Atlantis for the first time at Princess Mera’s request in an effort to prevent his half-brother Orm from sparking a conflict with those who live on the surface. To accomplish this, Arthur must first navigate a series of obstacles and riddles in order to locate the Atlan’s lost trident, the first king of Atlantis. It would allow him to avert war before it starts and serve as evidence that he is the legitimate king.
Heard portrays Princess Mera, the warrior princess of Atlantis, as was already revealed. Without her, he wouldn’t have been able to complete his voyage. She travels with Arthur. Heard brings genuine courage to the table by directly opposing his own family in an effort to bring about peace.
Drive Angry
Nicolas Cage plays John Milton in the movie Drive Angry, a father who uses Satan’s gun to escape from hell and exact revenge on those who killed his daughter and abducted his granddaughter. Alongside Cage, Amber Heard successfully landed a prominent part. She makes her entrance as Piper Lee, a local bar waitress with a shady boyfriend, in this immensely entertaining action horror movie. She ends up becoming Milton’s courageous companion by just happening to cross his path as he pursues retribution. Although the movie shouldn’t be taken seriously, Heard gives a compelling performance.
Never Back Down
Never Back Down features Amber Heard in the middle of a battle while wearing gloves. Entertainment Summit
New student Jake Tyler (Sean Faris) learns that his school is highly into mixed martial arts in the martial arts movie Never Back Down. He immediately understands that learning MMA is essential for him to do in order to acquire the respect of his friends after being humiliated by a bully due to his lack of training.
In this movie, Heard plays Jake’s love interest, Baja Miller. Jake might not have persevered through the challenging Beatdown competition, fighting through his injury to attempt to defeat Ryan, without her being there to support him. Heard is ideal for the part since she can be compassionate when called upon while still knowing when to take a stand. Without her, the movie wouldn’t be the same.
Paranoia
Gary Oldman and Harrison Ford play super-rich tech billionaires who will do anything to destroy one another in this fascinating thriller. The ambitious young technician Adam (Liam Hemsworth), hired to spy on his boss’s competition, is our hero. Emma (Heard), Adam’s love interest, aids him in his search when he starts to feel as though his life is under danger. It’s difficult for viewers to not be enthralled by Heard’s portrayal of her character in the movie Paranoia since her character is attractive and menacing.
The Joneses
The Joneses centres on a group of covert marketers who pretend to be the ideal family in order to convince their unwitting neighbours to purchase an endless supply of goods. Heard assumes the part of Jenn Jones, the attractive teenage “daughter” of Steve and Kate (David Duchovny and Demi Moore), who has a sex addiction and a propensity for hitting on her fictitious parents. She excelled in this interesting comedy-drama and ended up taking the spotlight.
The Rum Diary
In the comedy The Rum Diary, Johnny Depp plays wannabe author Paul Kemp, who gives journalism a shot after failing to sell his book. He keeps looking for alternative occupations because it is claimed that the newspaper he is hired by will fold shortly. Along the way, he meets the realtor Sanderson (Aaron Eckhart), who offers a job writing advertisements. In this book to film adaption, Kemp, who is just trying to get by, runs into trouble at both of his jobs.
A troubled lady called Kristen is checked into a psychiatric institution after setting fire to an abandoned farmhouse in the psychological horror movie The Ward. There, she runs into a number of other patients, but they all appear to be possessed by the same eerie ghost that nobody else can see. Kristen must now make an effort to protect the other girls from the monster before it consumes them all.
Heard plays the lead role of Kristen, bringing the protagonist to life in a way that no one else could. Dealing with a monster from a horror film is one thing, but how about one that only you can see and then have to deal with the repercussions? She does a fantastic job of convincing the audience that she can do that, which requires a lot of talent.
Zombieland
SONY IMAGES With a stellar ensemble that includes Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, Abigail Breslin, Bill Murray, and Amber Heard, this movie represents zombie comedy at its best. The script is so entertaining that you almost want to join the chaos. Heard makes her first appearance in Zombieland as stunning neighbour 406 of the main character (Eisenberg). Before understanding she is a zombie, the awkward protagonist allows the unfortunate 406 into his flat. A standout among Heard’s most popular flicks is Zombieland.
