We’re going to be on the hype train for this Star Wars series for a while because the first season of Andor completely blew our minds and turned into one of the best things to ever come from the Star Wars universe. Now that season 1 of the science fiction series has come to a conclusion, it’s time to anticipate season 2.
The streaming service program follows Cassian Andor, who you may recognize from the Star Wars movie Rogue One, as he carves out a place for himself among the Rebellion and begins to rebel against the Galactic Empire. The TV series Andor was a breath of fresh air because it didn’t contain any references to Jedi, Sith, Emperor Palpatine, or even lightsabers. By alone, it was a wonderful thriller.
Andor Season 2 Plot
We are known that the second season of Andor will conclude with Cassian enlisting in the Rebellion to search for the Death Star’s plans.
When speaking with The Rolling Stone, Tony Gilroy offered some predictions for what to look forward to in Andor season 2. Gilroy stated that in season 2, “we come back a year later.” It will stand out clearly. The second season of Star Wars will reportedly span four years, and as the show builds to the Death Star expedition, we should expect time jumps every three episodes.
In Andor, there will probably be a ton of brand-new individuals and planets, which also suggests a ton of fantastic new locations for filming. One of the first season’s accomplishments has been the fact that Andor looks so fantastic in comparison to earlier Star Wars programs, and that is mainly because real-world locations were used. We hope that season 2 continues the trend, but we’ll be happy if Disney understands that season 2 of Andor needs to achieve these five objectives.
Andor season 2 cast
The only name we are certain will appear on the Andor season 2 cast list is Diego Luna, who will continue to play the title character.
It is highly likely that Stellan Skarsgrd will return to the role of Luthen Rael given the importance of this Star Wars character to the expanding galaxy-wide Rebellion. Genevieve O’Reilly would be welcomed back to Coruscant for season 2, much like Mon Mothma, which has a significant role to play in the Star Wars timeline.
Of course, there will be a lot of surprises and new faces in the Andor cast. Given this, we anticipate Andor season 2 to feature some incredible Star Wars appearances. One such cameo we might anticipate is K-2SO’s entrance in Andor season 2 after Tony Gilroy revealed that the Star Wars droid will be incorporated in the plot.
How many episodes will there be in Andor season 2?
We already know that the second season of Andor will have 12 episodes, much as the first. The production of a third season of Andor is unlikely, therefore that will be the end of it.
Andor Season 2 Release date
Season 2 of Andor has not yet been given a launch date, but according to the show’s creator Tony Gilroy, it will occur in the latter part of 2024. The second season of this article is now in production, having recently begun in January 2023.
