A-list performer Robert Pattinson has collaborated with many of the industry’s most active directors. Although his career is most known for his work in Twilight and The Batman, it was his appearance in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire that helped him become well-known. And Pattinson is currently making hilarious fun of his role as Cedric Diggory.
Only one Harry Potter film has Robert Pattinson, yet it’s one of the most adored. He portrayed Cedric Diggory, a beloved Hogwarts student who is killed as Voldemort is raised from the dead. Fans remember Pattinson’s performance warmly, but he has a different opinion. He recently made light of his set duties by joking:
I believe I have read a method acting book. The only thing I truly learned from it was to criticise yourself before each scene. That was essentially the only idea I had on how to be ready for a scenario. I was fighting, screaming into a pillow, striking myself in the face, and ripping my clothes as I mentally prepared myself for a fight or some other situation.
That’s certainly one method to enter the Wizarding World. Robert Pattinson seemed to have prepared for Harry Potter 4 using whatever resources were available, particularly during the more dramatic scenes of the Triwizard Tournament. Despite the fact that it appears he no longer physically punishes himself before shooting.
One of Robert Pattinson’s first significant roles was in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, which required some challenging ideas like stunts and special effects, as he revealed to GQ. While he would physically exaggerate himself, becoming “method” on set created some issues. Specifically because the sweat kept his prosthetic wounds from adhering to his face.
Later on in the same video, Robert Pattinson discussed one of the more distinctive elements of his Harry Potter portrayal. Particularly, the wand-holding technique used by Cedric Diggory in some of the more difficult scenes. According to the Lighthouse actor,
When I first held a wand, I thought it was so awkward to hold it like a magic wand; instead, I held it with two hands like a gun, pretending I was in a Die Hard movie. When I’m staring down like it has a viewfinder, I believe I even have one eye closed.
It turns out that Robert Pattinson’s impact on the Wizarding World is entirely Bruce Willis’ fault. Cedric had a distinct personality throughout Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, beginning with his tree-jumping entrance. His time on television was sadly cut short because he was the beloved franchise’s first character to pass away right in front of our eyes.
On April 15, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore will hit theatres, bringing the magical franchise back. Check out the 2022 release dates for movies to start making plans for your next cinematic outing.
