Cocaine Bear (2023) Trailer Promises A Never Seen Before Thriller

What occurs if a black bear consumes a large amount of cocaine? You can find the answer to that question in the real-life incident from 1985 and the plot of Elizabeth Banks’ upcoming movie. The movie based on the actual event is scheduled to debut exclusively in theatres on February 24, 2023, but fans have the opportunity to have their first glimpse of the future film with the publication of a brand-new teaser, depicting the unbelievable devastation that the bear gets up to.

The new trailer presents the movie as a dark comedy that heavily emphasises the situation’s absurdity as well as the excessive violence. The trailer begins with two paramedics arriving at a demolished visitor centre for the forest just before the titular bear attacks them. We learn more about the characters who will end up venturing into the forest and into the bear’s territory, including a couple searching for their children with the aid of a ranger, and the children themselves. We also learn more about the cocaine that is falling from the sky in the forest. Both the government and a group of drug dealers led by the late, great Ray Liotta are attempting to recapture the contraband. In a voice-over, it is stated clearly as follows: “Predator Apex. on a cocaine high crazy in the head.”

Along with Liotta, Cocaine Bear also stars Keri Russell from The Americans, O’Shea Jackson Jr. from Straight Outta Compton, Christian Convery-Jennings from Sweet Tooth, Alden Ehrenreich from Solo: A Star Wars Story, Jesse Tyler Ferguson from Modern Family, Brooklynn Prince from The Florida Project, Isiah Whitlock Jr. from BlacKkKlansman, Kristofer Hivju from Game of Thrones, Hannah Hoekstra from Charlie’ (The Americans). Jimmy Warden wrote the movie’s script. In addition to directing the movie, Banks works with Max Handelman as a producer at Brownstone Productions. Along with Aditya Sood and Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, who both won Oscars for their work on Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and The Mitchells vs. the Machines, Brian Duffield (Spontaneous) from Jurassic Party also produces for Lord Miller. Alison Small, Nikki Baida, and Robin Mulcahy Fisichella served as the movie’s executive producers.

The True Story Behind Cocaine Bear

During a drug run from Columbia in 1985, a plane carrying drugs crashed over Georgia’s Chattahoochee National Forest, spilling 40 kilogrammes of cocaine. A black bear later found dead in the forest after consuming the cocaine was determined to have died from one of the biggest drug overdoses in recorded history. The “Pablo EscoBear” bear, now stuffed, is on display in Lexington, Kentucky, and is a distinctive tourist destination.

The movie Cocaine Bear will premiere on February 24, 2023. You can view the newest trailer by scrolling down.
