With a brand-new poster showcasing the Creed family, which also includes Tessa Thompson as Bianca Creed and newcomer Mila Davis-Kent as Amara Creed, fans have been given yet another glimpse at the eagerly awaited boxing threequel “Creed III,” which stars Michael B. Jordan and Jonathan Majors.
On October 18, MGM unveiled the first teaser for “Creed III,” which takes viewers through a time leap to Adonis Creed, played by Michael B. Jordan, in the glamorous years after his successful defense of the heavyweight championship. But this time, he finds himself up against a fresh foe in Majors’s Damian, a long-lost acquaintance who is here to recoup an old debt.
In the movie trailer, Damian resurfaces in Adonis’ life 18 years after being imprisoned and expresses a desire to train with the well-known boxer. However, along the road, resentment and personal animosity come between the two, which causes an epic fight to break out. The major question now is: Will Adonis win this time around, or will he ruin his nearly unblemished record with a new defeat?
“We wanted to make sure we matured, doubled down on the things people love and expect from this series, but also took them to new places,” the statement continued.
After defeating Viktor Drago (Florian Munteanu), the son of Ivan Drago (Dolph Lundgren), who is known as the person responsible for killing Adonis’s father, Apollo Creed, in his final fight, Adonis was last seen in “Creed II.” Years after Apollo’s passing, Adonis still works to establish his reputation in the boxing world, especially now that he is a parent. The absence of Sylvester Stallone, who famously played Rocky Balboa in the “Rocky” series and served as Adonis’s trainer in the first two “Creed” movies, will undoubtedly advance Adonis’s narrative as he establishes his boxing reputation on his own.
Jordan discussed why he picked Adonis’s story for his first time in front of the camera at a press conference for the unveiling of the “Creed III” trailer, which POPSUGAR attended. This marks Jordan’s directorial debut. For me, he replied, “I think it was the perfect time.” “I had a lot to say as a young man—a young Black man—to be able to convey a tale about where I think Adonis is at, and also at 35 years old. Through these characters and this story, I was able to genuinely share a part of my life’s experiences with the world. I simply thought that it was the correct moment.”
Jordan also claimed that Ryan Coogler, who was the director of the original “Creed” movie, gave him some directorial tips. “When we were filming “Creed,” Ryan and I were conversing, and he simply said, “It’s never the appropriate time. You simply have to take the plunge and do it,” “He revealed. He was quite encouraging to me.
Jordan continued by revealing what audiences can anticipate from “Creed III” when film premieres in theaters in the spring, as well as who is responsible for the soundtrack: J. Cole’s Dreamville record label. You’re going to hear a lot of fresh sounds from well-known performers, he assured. “Dreamville and J. Cole are executive producing the album’s soundtrack. This [movie]’s storytelling throughout the soundtrack is another important component. We wanted to be sure that, as we matured, we maintained the qualities that fans have come to love and expect from this brand while simultaneously introducing them to novel concepts.”
The movie “Creed III” released official posters featuring Jordan and Majors ready for their fight, all out in their boxing gear, the day before the trailer debuted. The former posted a poster for “Creed III” with the words “You can’t run…” on it to his social media profiles. The final words of Majors’s poster, “… From your history,” are a significant narrative hint for the third installment.
In March, pictures of Jordan and Majors on the set of “Creed III” circulated on social media. Particularly, pictures of Majors without shirts on web created quite a commotion. working on with Majors “During the press conference for Creed III, Jordan said, “[He’s] incredible. Very, very fortunate and happy to have him participate in this tale. We were closer than I ever had the chance to be with each other. Now that I fully get it, we have a link that will always exist.”
