There are plans for a new season of CSI: Vegas. Variety says that CBS has renewed the show for the 2023–2024 season, which will be the third season of the new CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. When the show first came back, William Petersen was back as Gil Grissom, Jorja Fox was back as Sara Sidle, and there were a few new cast members. Before season 2, both Petersen and Fox left the show, and CSI star Marg Helgenberger took over as Catherine Willows. Matt Lauria plays Josh Folsom, Mandeep Dhillon plays Allie Rajan, Ariana Guerra plays Serena Chavez, Jay Lee plays Chris Park, and Lex Medlin plays Beau Finado. Paula Newsome plays Max Roby.
CSI: Vegas was picked up for a third season because CBS picked up a number of its TV shows for more seasons. NCIS, NCIS: Hawaii, Survivor, The Amazing Race, Tough as Nails, Lingo, 60 Minutes, and 48 Hours were also given new seasons. The Never Game, a new show, has also been picked up. Fire Country, Young Sheldon, Ghosts, The Neighborhood, Bob Hearts Abishola, So Help Me Todd, FBI, FBI: International, FBI: Most Wanted, and The Equalizer are some other shows that have already been renewed for the season.
In a statement about the news, Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment, says, “This season, CBS is keeping up its winning ways by delivering an unmatched mix of top returning series and new hit shows that are entertaining huge audiences on both broadcast and streaming.” “The fact that we’ve had another great season is a testament to how well our best-in-class talent in front of and behind the camera has done, and I know that as we look ahead to next fall, we’ll only keep building on this foundation of great programming.
