For those who may not be aware, the time period in which Everybody Hates Chris is set is between 1982 and 1987. It is based on the memories of comedian Chris Rock’s teenage years, and as a result, it chronicles the life of a young Black boy named Chris as he struggles to succeed in Brooklyn while dealing with his dysfunctional family and all-white school. It follows him as he copes with his odd family, which consists of his economical father Julius, commanding mother Rochelle, spoilt sister Tonya, and younger brother Drew, who is more popular than Chris. It certainly deserved more attention and acclaim while it was on television because it was a suitably underrated television program. In fact, the show ran for only four seasons, from 2005 to 2009.
Fortunately, even though the show ended abruptly, Chris left high school and went on to attend college in the Everybody Hates Chris series finale. Chris moved home to Brooklyn after finishing college and started his own comedy club there. His reunion with his family and neighborhood acquaintances, including his erstwhile love interest Ashley, marked the end of the show. Everyone gathered to toast Chris’ career as a comedian and the opening of his new nightclub. Let’s see where the Everybody Hates Chris cast is now that the program has a nice ending.
Chris Rock
Everybody Hates Chris was narrated by Chris Rock and was based on his own childhood experiences. Since the end of the show, Rock has collaborated on the production of the films Sidetracked, Death at a Funeral, and Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell. Additionally, he appeared in the films Look at Me, Grown Ups, Nobody’s Fool, and Death at a Funeral.

From that point on, Crews worked steadily in a variety of capacities, most notably playing Sergeant Terry Jeffords in Brooklyn Nine-Nine. He most recently provided Tentacular’s voice for the 2022 animated film Rumble. He will also keep presenting America’s Got Talent and America’s Got Talent: The Champions in addition to lending his voice to Craig of the Creek on Cartoon Network.
