Yes, Adam and Libby are still together. Libby’s role as the author’s surrogate is established in the concluding episode. She discusses the book she plans to write, whose storyline is similar to “Fleishman is in Trouble.” At the celebration when Seth asks Vanessa to marry him, she, Toby, and Seth reunite. That evening, after returning home, Libby joins Adam in bed, starting an intimate moment for the first time in what seems like a very long time, and requesting forgiveness.
