The popular social media user also posted the identical video to her Instagram account. Continue reading to learn more about Grace Helbig, a content creator, who was diagnosed with cancer.
Grace Helbig reveals breast cancer diagnosis
In order to inform her global fan base of her breast cancer diagnosis, Grace published a video on her official YouTube page on Monday. She mentioned in the video that she found out about her diagnosis a month ago.
The 37-year-old can be heard stating in the uploaded video, “I’ve had a decent amount of time to process and start the process, so I’m finally ready to share with you.” She also emphasised how anxious she was to discuss everything.
Helbig informed her 2.6 million subscribers that she had been identified as having “triple positive breast cancer,” which, according to medical experts, is “super treatable” and “highly beatable.” She also revealed the treatment strategy, revealing that it will include six rounds of chemotherapy, surgery, and hormone therapy altogether.
We’re aiming for cure here, not remission, which is exciting, encouraging, beneficial, and nice, she continued. She recalls noticing a bulge on her left chest a few months prior to her annual visit to the gynaecologist.
Grace acknowledged that she was uncomfortable discussing it because she felt ignorant of her anatomy, but she urged everyone to “be afraid to ask the doctor what you think might be a stupid question.” She underwent testing shortly after to figure out what was going on.
I do feel like I’ve been living with a big secret, and I just wanted and felt obligated to let you know,” she said. To put it mildly, this entire situation has been a lot. All day, I have been experiencing every emotion. She expressed her gratitude to her family and friends for standing by her during her health concern.
When Grace spoke with Hank Green, a fellow YouTuber who just revealed that he had cancer, she said, “I have been emailing with him, and his videos have been so tremendously helpful. I’m currently looking forward to reading his cancer stand-up, which he has promised to email me, because I’m going to need humour during this process.

There’s some humour to be found here, she continued. The irony that I’ve spent the last 15 years refraining from utilising my breasts to attract attention online and yet here we are, with me disclosing this during Cancer Awareness Month, is not lost on me.
Helbig stated, “This is my job now, and I’m going to fight this little bitch of a thing in my left breast as best and as strongly and as gracefully as I can, pun intended.” Helbig was speaking of what would come next.
Grace informed her supporters that she is doing okay and “ready to take this on,” despite the difficult weeks that have passed since receiving her cancer diagnosis. Just one step at a time is all I need to do.
