San Diego Comic Con was a week ago. Even still, the main announcements and trailers have left Marvel fans still reeling. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 made one of the strongest impressions at SDCC when it debuted its first trailer. James Gunn, the film’s director, has published new behind-the-scenes images of the cast and crew’s farewell supper, despite the fact that the material hasn’t been made public.
Most of the main characters from the trilogy’s conclusion may be seen in the two polaroids that Gunn published on Twitter. Sean Gunn, Maria Bakalova, Nico Santos, Natasha Halevim, Jennifer Holland, Chris Pratt
, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, and Gunn are all pictured having a great time at the dinner. Dave Bautista is noticeably absent from both photos because, according to Gunn, he arrived toward the end of the dinner. Due to the fact that Rocket and Groot are voiced by Bradley Cooper and Van Diesel, respectively, they are also absent from the dinner due to their absence from the set during filming.

For the MCU, Vol. 3 represents the conclusion of an era. The Guardians of the Galaxy crew will appear for the final time in this movie, which also introduces intriguing new components to the cosmos, such as Adam Warlock, played by Will Poulter, who has been hinted at since Vol. 2’s conclusion. Vol. 3 will include include figures like Cosmo the Spacedog (Bakalova) and the evil High Evolutionary (Chukwudi Iwuji). Additionally, the movie’s story has been suggested to be more mature than what viewers are used to from the MCU, especially with this eccentric cast of characters. From the SDCC video, we can infer that Rocket’s past will receive a lot of attention, and Star-Lord will have to deal with the reality that a Gamora from a another timeline has suddenly appeared in their universe.
The official Vol. 3 plot summary is as follows:
“In Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, our cherished ragtag group of misfits get a slightly new appearance. Peter Quill, who is still in shock after Gamora’s death, must gather his squad behind him to defend the universe while also looking out for one of their own. A mission that, if unsuccessful, would very well spell the end for the Guardians as we know them.
Although the final volume of the series will undoubtedly be an emotional rollercoaster trip, fans still have plenty of time to get ready. In addition to Vol.3, the Guardians will also have their own holiday special, which will air on Disney+ later in the year. These heartwarming pictures are just a reminder of how endearing the entire cast of this series is. It will be difficult to say goodbye to their outrageous personas. On May 3, 2023, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will explode into theatres. You can check out Gunn’s happy pictures down below until then. You can read our interview with Gunn here:
