Klaus (2019)
Even though Hallmark films are the focus of our list, we included this animated film because it has a high happiness factor—something that all Hallmark films must have. In this Sergio Pablos film, which is nominated for an Academy Award, Jason Schwartzman plays the sluggish and unproductive postman Jesper Johansen, who works in the isolated northern town of Smeerensburg, which is known as the unhappiest town on Earth. There, he meets the retiring Klaus (voiced by Academy Award winner J.K. Simmons), who is Santa Claus. But Jesper persuades Klaus to give away his outdated produced toys, which Jesper will transport at no cost. The elders believe this is the pair’s method of brainwashing Smeerensburg and decide to take the appropriate action to stop them, even if the children appear to enjoy the toys and are writing letters requesting them. Can they really do that? Or will Smeerensburg’s seeming never-ending sorrow eventually be ended by Jesper and Klaus? “Klaus” is a lovely holiday film appropriate for viewers of all ages. Let It Snow (2019)
“Let It Snow” is a romantic comedy set in the Christmas season and is based on the same-titled novel. It centres on a group of high school students who, following a snowstorm that strikes their town on Christmas Eve, gather together. Their abrupt change in circumstances compels them to reassess their relationships, friendships, careers, and sexual orientation. For better or worse, the choices they make on that fateful day alter their lives. The film explores the problems that young adults confront as well as their goals and desires to fall in love. This vacation is meant to be Pee-Wee’s first vacation away from his hometown of Fairville. It’s especially fun to see this movie during the holidays because of his adventures and experiences in New York. In the Pee-wee Herman film trilogy, there are three separate installments: “Pee-wee’s Big Adventure” (1985) and “Big Top Pee-wee” (1988). This one is the third and last one. Abby’s relationships magically transform as Christmas draws nearer, particularly those with her adoring grandfather (Ron Cephas Jones) and the dashing doctor Ty Walker (Ethan Peck). With its touching tale and endearing ensemble, “The Holiday Calendar,” which explores themes of fate, love, and the joy of the holidays, definitely deserves a spot on the list. The Knight Before Christmas (2019)

Based on the idea of identical persons, “The Princess Switch” is a fun romantic comedy set over the Christmas season.
