Warner Bros. is eager to expand the Wizarding World with new content for HBO Max as the Harry Potter film series approaches its twentieth anniversary, according to a report in THR this week.
While it first appeared that Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone’s release anniversary would go by largely without notice, it was revealed last month that the cast of the film would reunite for a special performance to honor the franchise’s milestone birthday. The franchise launched the careers of Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint among others.
