Peacock is known for its on-demand movies and TV episodes, but did you realize that the service also offers live television? It’s difficult to keep track of all the numerous streaming apps these days. The streaming scene is more cluttered than ever, with Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max, and countless more possibilities.
The live TV trend is also evident in the NBC Peacock app. Look for the ‘Channels’ button on the Peacock mobile app, smart TV app, or desktop website. On Peacock’s smartphone app, it’s at the bottom of the screen. The Channels button will appear at the top of the screen if you’re using Peacock on your TV or PC. You can start watching live TV on Peacock right now by clicking or tapping the Channels button.
What channels are available in this location? Traditional live TV programming, such as Sky News and local NBC news stations, is available. The majority of Peacock’s live TV channels, on the other hand, are 24/7 broadcasts of the company’s most popular series. The Below Deck channel, for example, only shows episodes from the show. The Peacock Originals channel features a variety of episodes from the Peacock Originals series, while the SNL Vault channel features vintage SNL programs.
Peacock also broadcasts live TV coverage of various sporting and entertainment events. A special ‘Olympics’ button in the app provided rapid access to live streaming of the games throughout the Beijing 2022 Olympics. The ‘Sports’ page also features any current sporting events, while the ‘WWE’ page features current WWE events. Even better, Peacock makes it simple to distinguish between live and on-demand programming. A yellow ‘LIVE’ button appears next to all live content in the app. Past live events are also displayed on the app with a yellow ‘REPLAY’ button.
One last thing to remember regarding Peacock’s live television. Everyone has access to all of the live channels on the dedicated Channels page. You can view those live TV stations whether you have Peacock Free, Peacock Premium, or Peacock Premium Plus. However, only Peacock’s Premium and Premium Plus customers have access to live sports and other live events (such as WWE).
