“I had never even considered acting until I received the call to read for the role of Ashtray. Without any coaching, I was able to connect with the character and remember the lines really quickly, Walton said to Vanity Teen in 2022. “With Zendaya, I had my first scene and my very first acting experience. I became a sponge and wanted to be the best, just like with boxing. Watching Zendaya work on set taught me a lot, and Sam Levinson gave me the courage and encouragement to play Ashtray how I saw him.
Additionally, he most recently had an appearance in “The Umbrella Academy” season 3 on Netflix. But did you realise he’s not just a gifted actor? Walton is a fantastic athlete who has dabbled in modelling, voice acting, and even collaborated on a project with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson! Javon Walton Is Training For the 2024 Paris Olympics in 2 Sports
Walton hopes to compete in boxing and gymnastics at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Despite how lofty that may sound, the “Euphoria” star looks capable of achieving it! Walton began boxing and gymnastics at the age of 4. Later, he participated in the Junior Olympics and won several state events.
One of Walton’s life objectives has been to compete internationally in sports. Even his kindergarten teacher, according to “Men’s Health,” remembered him creating a picture of himself as an Olympic medalist standing on a podium one day in class! Walton discussed his outstanding boxing career thus far on Steve Harvey’s interview programme “Steve” in 2017. Casting director Jennifer Venditti was so impressed by Walton’s interview that she got in touch with Walton’s father to see if his son would be willing to try out for “Euphoria.” Walton’s only prior acting experience at the time was in a Johnson and Walton-led Under Armour commercial, but that didn’t deter the future Ashtray from applying for the part. Since being hired for “Euphoria,” Walton has also landed parts on “Utopia” and “The Addams Family 2,” and he even modelled with Alex Rodriguez for Dick’s Sporting Goods.

Javon Walton Helped His Brother Land a Role on “Euphoria”
Thanks to some assistance from his older brother, Walton’s older brother, Daelo, was able to land a one-episode role as a younger version of Walton’s character, Ashtray! Walton tells “Complex” that Daelo read a scene to him, and that he was so impressed, he forwarded the recording of Daelo to “Euphoria” author Sam Levinson. Daelo was speaking drug names and other things, but he truly wanted to be a baby Ashtray, according to Walton. Levinson concurred and quickly hired Daelo for the show’s guest appearance.

Walton tells “The Face” that his father taught him that “anything I want to do, I should work hard to achieve it,” adding that “when I was very little, I never put limits on myself.” Walton’s father formally gave him the moniker “Wanna” after observing that Walton took that advice to heart and applied it to every aspect of his life, including boxing and gymnastics. It’s safe to assume Walton merits and lives up to the moniker given that he’s only 15 and is already a champion boxer, award-winning gymnast, and TV star on one of today’s hottest shows. Walton revealed to “Men’s Health” that boxer Manny Pacquiao was his first hero. At the age of 2, he used to watch Pacquiao contest on television. Walton has since added Julio César Chavez and Mike Tyson, two additional boxing greats, to his list of heroes. Despite the fact that all three of these men are athletes, Walton draws inspiration from each of their individual impulses for success and uses it to further his acting career. To “Complex,” he explains, “You can’t just slack around in boxing, it’s the same with acting.” “You must perform in each scene.”
