The narrative of Ray Vernon becomes the main plot of “Kaleidoscope,” moving through time non-linearly. He used to be good friends with Roger Salas, who is now well-known. They had committed numerous heists together, but on one occasion Ray lost a loved one while Roger fled and began the life Ray had always desired for himself. When Ray learns that Roger founded a security company with billions in bearer bonds, he has the opportunity to extract his vengeance years later. Ray intends to take them in order to ruin Roger and exact revenge.

People who are not only excellent at what they do, but also those Ray can trust, are needed to carry out such a plan. Stan, the man who shared Ray’s prison cell, is where he begins. Stan is able to find everything, including Judy the chemist. Given that Judy is now wed to a brash man named Bob and that Stan and Judy have a past, things are made a little more difficult. Additionally, Ray’s lawyer Ava Mercer, who excels at maintaining order and who manages everything from finances to security, is present. When Ray appears to have his ideal team and a solid strategy in place, FBI agent Nazan Abassi begins digging into them, throwing a wrench in their efforts.

When it comes to the theft, the bonds are everything. They are the only ones on the squad that have the drive to take a chance that could endanger their lives or possibly result in their deaths. After the heist, nobody seemed to know where the bonds are, though. not Ray at all. Those who survived the heist are still in the dark about what happened to the money months later. When they open the boxes, they find blank pieces of paper concealed under a cover bond intended to deceive them. Everything was supposed to have been loaded onto the truck. Where did the bonds go? is raised by this.

In the last episode, where we see the heist, the solution is made clear. Hannah, who served as his inside man on the job, helped Ray come up with the entire scheme. To help him out during the heist, he only asked her to relay the information and put a few items inside SLS. But he didn’t want Hannah present when the heist happened. He never wanted her to be involved with it because doing so could endanger her life as well as her career. But Hannah disagreed with her father.

Hannah is working on a plot to steal the bonds from her father and his crew while Ray is busy on a way to get them out of the vault. She then devises a clever scheme. FedEx ships shipments from the same building where SLS maintains its headquarters. Hannah secures a position there for Liz, her adopted sister. The bonds would be sent to RJ through the elevator once they were taken out of the vault, per Ray’s plan. The boxes would be unsupervised inside the elevator, which is where Hannah comes in.

Between the SLS office and the floor where RJ will intercept it is the FedEx facility. Without anyone noticing, Hannah manages to stop the elevator at FedEx. She then removes the boxes and replaces them with the ones containing blank sheets of paper. In case someone peeks inside, she places a few bonds on top of each box. Because she is aware that no one has the time to examine all the bonds, she can get away with her crime before anyone notices. She also had a strategy to get Liz the job. By doing this, she almost completely escapes her father’s grasp from the chains.

Why Did Hannah Betray Ray?

One wonders why Hannah would go to such efforts to thwart her father’s intentions given that she is the member of the group who is closest to Ray. Hannah betrayed Ray, but why? It turns out that this was in his best interests. Ray had Roger’s vengeance in mind when he devised the scheme to take the bonds. He was unaware that he would be robbing some of the most influential individuals in the world, who would never stop seeking for him and wouldn’t be very forgiving if they did find him. For seven years, her father showed no sign of wanting to change, despite Hannah’s best efforts to save him from himself. She so had to alter her strategy.

Hannah took the bonds, but she only returned them to their rightful owners. She was aware that they were trying to clean up those bonds because they were unreported and so considered to be “black money.” Roger had already asked Thiele to find a solution, but Hannah presented them with a different one. She informed them about the theft. With the bonds stolen, they were able to entirely avoid the laws that surrounded them as well as getting the insurance on those bonds. It would be simpler for them to relocate those bonds and convert them into clean money since they wouldn’t have to give an explanation for something they didn’t possess.

She also informs them of the few bonds they might lose, but insurance proceeds would easily make up for such losses. She offers her clients a win-win situation with her strategy. In addition to being advantageous for them, it makes Hannah a valuable asset for them and ensures her safety. Her career safety is another factor making this a wise decision on her part. Roger is going to lose once SLS gets robbed. Hannah’s career would have been doomed if she hadn’t betrayed Ray in order to aid the clients. Who would hire someone whose promotion was followed by a heist right away? But she ensures she has a career and financial stability by taking on the role of money launderer for the three most powerful people in the world.

Hannah also didn’t want Ray to spend the rest of his life on the lam, which is what would occur if the clients were unaware of the location of their bonds. This action on her side was an attempt to save her father, even if it didn’t really matter. She also let him realize that she was no longer dependent on him by doing this. She wouldn’t waste any more time attempting to alter him because he had already tried to do so in the past and failed, costing Lily her life. This treachery is Hannah’s means of demonstrating to her father that she is more than just a pawn in his scheme since she will not fall victim to the same cycle.

What Does Ray Put in Roger’s Personal Vault?

In the episode that follows the heist, Roger Salas is seen searching through his security firm’s empty vaults. Not only are all of his clients’ bonds gone, but there’s more. He discovers what Ray had left for him when he unlocks his personal vault at Agent Abassi’s urging. What does this item entail for him and Ray, and what is it?

When Ray and Roger were still buddies in the past, they plotted a heist. This came after Ray made the decision to give up his life of crime in order to do what was right for his family. It backfired on him, though, and he was drawn into the game—which was equal parts vengeance and greed—again. The necklaces were being shown at the same area where his wife previously worked before being wrongfully terminated, and he and Roger tried to remove diamonds from them.

Unbeknownst to Ray, his wife shows up at the house the same night he starts stealing. Roger sets up a fire to buy them some time while Ray is on the verge of being captured. Lily, however, is suffocated by it and perishes. Ray finds it especially hard since he thinks Roger could have been able to save her. Instead, he fled to protect his own skin. The diamonds they sought to steal are what caused all of this to occur. Ray lost everything as a result of his wife’s passing during the theft. Ray was then apprehended by the police, which caused him to be separated from his daughter, whom he wouldn’t see again for another 17 years. In the meantime, Roger not only got away with it, but also prospered in life, never giving Ray another consideration.

This fact enrages Ray, who then makes the decision to ruin Roger. By stealing the bonds, he destroys his business, but that is insufficient. Ray is eager to find out who committed the heist from his old friend. His wife entered the room next door where she would eventually pass away as he was busy snatching the same jewel. This is Ray’s way of telling Roger that he has exacted his retribution.
