Surfing star Mikala Jones passes away after gruesome accident
Elite Hawaiian surfer Mikala Jones tragically perished in a terrible surfing mishap. He passed away on Sunday at the age of 44. According to Surfline, he “suffered an accident resulting in a wound to the inside of his left groyne that was approximately 10 centimetres long” at the time, while he and his family were in Indonesia.
Mikala was a visitor at the North Sipora Awera Resort when the incident occurred, the media source claims. Soon after the accident, he was taken to a hospital, where he died as a result of his wounds.

His passing was reported on Monday by Isabella Jones, Mikala’s daughter, on her Instagram page. She shared several pictures of her father and daughter surfing on Instagram along with a moving homage to her father.
“I’m in such a state of disbelief right now; this doesn’t feel real,” Isabella exclaimed. I love you so much, dad, and I wish I could give you one last hug. I love you so much, dad, and I wish I could give you one last hug. I wish I could tell you how much I love and appreciate you for being the best parent ever. I wish you were still here with us since you weren’t supposed to leave yet. It is too soon.
She said, “I know you are in a good place right now with Nana Vi and your friends. We could just get up tomorrow and go surfing together if this hadn’t happened.
I’m not sure how to put this in words, but my dad was killed in a tragic surfing accident, Jones remarked in elucidating the circumstances behind her father’s premature passing. I’m delighted he was doing what he loved doing most. Life will never be the same without you.
“I miss you so terribly,” the surfer’s daughter added, “and I would give anything to spend just one minute longer with you, even if it meant that we argued and then laughed. I am grateful for everything you have done for me, especially the lessons you have taught me about life. I wish you were here with us right now. I will always remember how much I cherish and adore you, Dad. Continue to soar high and be a legend.
