Love and laughter will be in abundance this summer! A new movie from Netflix is coming out, and it promises to be both educational and entertaining. Ellie Kemper will play the lead in the romance comedy Happiness for Beginners. The movie is an adaptation of the same-named book. We are in for a treat, especially given how well book-to-movie adaptations fare in the realm of cinema.
Be ready for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. There will be wilderness exploration, love at first sight, rivalry between the lovers, and much more. This concludes our knowledge about the Netflix original movie Happiness for Beginners.
Happiness for Beginners: The Plot
Without some mishaps along the way, this movie wouldn’t be deemed a rom-com. Helen Carpenter, who recently got divorced, enrols in a wilderness survival course to step outside her comfort zone and take some risks. She discovers how to overcome the challenges in her path and finds love in the most unlikely of places. Additionally, she gains some important life lessons that she will keep in mind as she gradually rebuilds her life by taking chances. To discover oneself, you may occasionally need to get lost.
The movie’s official summary, as provided by Netflix, is as follows:
“Ellie Kemper’s character Helen had always stayed as far away from the edge as she could. Helen believes she needs a reset and enrols in the “Adventure of a Lifetime” after finding herself recently divorced and a little disoriented. The journey consists of an Appalachian Trail hike with a group of eccentric strangers while taking a backcountry survival course. Helen’s plan to be the finest hiker is put to the test right away, and amid the bush, she discovers more than just herself. Happiness For Beginners, based on the enormously well-read book by Katherine Center, serves as a timely reminder that sometimes you have to become lost before you find yourself.
