Season 3 of Hulu’s “Only Murders in the Building” confronts Charles, Oliver, and Mabel against the task of identifying Ben Glenroy’s murderer. In the sixth episode of season 3, Jane Lynch’s Sazz Pataki makes a triumphant comeback as a fan favourite guest star. For Charles, who is having relationship issues, Sazz’s homecoming is vital. However, she also carries with her a shocking and funny revelation about Charles’ former lover, Jan Bellows. Here is all the information you require regarding Jan’s current whereabouts and the nature of her relationship with Sazz in season three of ‘Only Murders in the Building’. Spoilers follow!
Where Is Jan?
How Well Do You Know Your Neighbours?, the third episode of season 1, features Jan Bellows for the first time. Amy Ryan performs the part. Jan is a resident of Arconia and a working bassoonist. Charles-Haden Savage, who is looking into Tim Kono’s slaying alongside Oliver Putnam and Mabel Mora, becomes the love of her life. Jan, however, is identified as Tim Kono’s murderer in a later development. Tim and Jan had a romantic relationship, but when they split up, Jan felt deceived. She devised Tim’s murder as their relationship deteriorated. Charles, Mabel, and Oliver unearth the truth in the opening episode’s season finale, “Open and Shut,” which results in Jan’s arrest.
Charles looks into the death of Bunny Folger, the block manager, in the second season. But after running through a few roadblocks, he seeks assistance from Jan. Charles pays a visit to Jan while she is in jail. Given Bunny’s death’s circumstances and Charles, Mabel, and Oliver’s precise involvement in it, Jan believes the perpetrator was most likely an artist with a personal grudge against the three of them. Amy Ryan, an actress, will appear as a guest star in season two. The third season of the sitcom, however, does not feature Ryan, although Jan is mentioned in passing in the third season’s fifth episode.
How Are Jan and Sazz Together?
Jan makes a brief appearance in the second season to assist Charles with the Bunny Folger case. Jan tries to restart their romance, nevertheless, after Charles thanks her for her assistance. Jan’s obsession with Charles persisted throughout season two. She reveals that Charles doesn’t consider their relationship to be over because they never had a formal breakup. Charles struggles to end his relationship with Jan, especially after she has helped him. Charles therefore assigns Sazz Pataki, his longtime stunt double, to the job. Despite Jan’s amazement that Sazz is divorcing her rather than Charles, there seems to be a connection between the two after their conversation.
The fifth episode of the third season, titled “Ah, Love!” features Sazz’s return. She goes to see Charles to give him and Joy her congratulations on being engaged. Sazz explains that she has been seeing Jan despite being fully aware of his deadly past and her obsession with her lovers throughout her tour to the Arconia. Although Jan does not expressly acknowledge their relationship status, it is clear that she still visits Jan while he is incarcerated. It is therefore doubtful that she and Sazz are dating given that Jan is still behind bars. Instead, it appears like Sazz simply pays Jan a visit for laughs. However, Charles is equally as shocked as the viewers to learn that Sazz is still seeing Jan.
