When and Where Is Our Flag Means Death Season 2 Coming Out?
The upcoming second season of the pirate comedy will be accessible to fans only on the HBO Max platform (soon to be renamed Max). However, due to the numerous changes resulting from the parent company of HBO Max, Warner Bros, merging with Discovery, no official release date has been announced. The two actors, both of New Zealand origin, have been close friends for nearly 20 years and previously worked together on the 2007 comedy Flight of the Conchords. Darby has developed a resume of supporting and guest parts in comedic films like Wrecked and the most recent Jumanji films in 2017 and 2019. Additionally, he will appear in the upcoming November release of Waititi’s movie Next Goal Wins. Waititi has been working hard as a director, writer, and executive producer for recent films including Reservoir Dogs and Thor: Love and Thunder. He is currently developing a new Star Wars movie that will debut in 2025. Along with Time Bandits, an upcoming Apple TV series, and a live-action remake of Akira, he is also working on a number of other projects.
Among the lovely members of the Revenge team who will be returning are Joel Fry (Cruella) as Frenchie, the musical crew member who has a superstitious attitude towards cats, and Nathan Foad (Bloods) as Lucius, Stede’s scribe and unofficial secretary. Samson Kayo (Truth Seekers) and Vico Ortiz will both return as the tough combatant Jim and Oluwande, respectively. Oluwande is a caring and sympathetic crew member who supports Stede (The Sex Lives of College Girls). Roach, the ship’s cook and medic, will also make a comeback, played by Sunnyside’s Samba Schutee. As Buttons, the ship’s first mate and seagull whisperer, Ewen Bremner from Trainspotting returns, and Nat Faxon from Loot plays the naive Swede. Wee John and Black Pete will both be played again by Game of Thrones’ Kristian Nairn and Air’s Matthew Maher.
Con O’Neill (The Batman) will play Ed’s strict first mate Izzy, while David Fane (800 Words) will play Fang in Blackbeard’s original gang, which is also anticipated to make a comeback. Regrettably, Ivan, who was portrayed by Guz Khan, won’t be joining the crew in the future (Four Weddings and a Funeral).
