“Seeing Poguelandia come to life was nothing less than spectacular,” “In a statement, the showrunners and co-creators of the show, Jonas Pate, Josoh Pate, and Shannon Burke, say the following. “The Pogues are having the adventure of a lifetime, and as season 4 of Outer Banks starts, we get to plan out more twists and turns. We’d like to thank Netflix, our cast, and our amazing fans for making this happen.
Netflix has said that the renewal is due to how popular the show is. After its second season premiered in 2021, Outer Banks was the most popular English-language show on Netflix for four weeks. It stayed in the top ten for six weeks and made it to the top ten in 74 countries.

After losing the gold and running away from the Outer Banks, the Pogues end up on a desert island that, for a short time, seems like the perfect place to live. The newest people to live on the island, which has been officially named “Poguelandia,” spend their days fishing, swimming, and enjoying the carefree lifestyle of their temporary home. But things quickly go wrong for John B, Sarah, Kiara, Pope, JJ, and Cleo when they are once again in a race for the treasure and are literally running for their lives. They don’t have any money and are far from home. They can’t trust anyone, Ward and Rafe want revenge, and a cruel Caribbean Don will do anything to get the bounty. Were they ever close to getting the treasure? Or was it all just a trick to stop them for good? No matter what, it’s the Pogues versus the rest of the world, and the only way out is to work together.
