Yes, it is what you read. Peacock, a streaming service, has given the show Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin the go-ahead to return for a second season. According to a report by Deadline, the series was poised to receive a renewal in 2023 as Peacock changed its focus to greater drama programming.
When discussing the show’s characters, Susan Rovner, Chairman, Entertainment Content, NBCUniversal Television and Streaming, said, “We knew fans of the Pitch Perfect franchise were going to sing Bumper in Berlin’s praises and love seeing a different side of Adam Devine’s character.”
Susan said, “Megan Amram, Elizabeth Banks, and Max Handelman created an immensely original and endearing story with new interpretations of classic songs in collaboration with our partners at UTV. We are eager to discuss this new smash with Peacock viewers.

For those of you who are unaware, Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin is a television series that tells the story of Bumper Allen (played by Adam Devine) many years after the events of Pitch Perfect as he relocates to Germany to resurrect his music career after one of his songs becomes popular in Berlin.
Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin’s first season also features Sarah Hyland, Flula Borg, Lera Abova, and Jameela Jamil in addition to Adam. Both executive producer and showrunner, Megan Amran performs these duties. Along with Paul Brooks and Scott Neimeyer of Gold Circle Films, Elizabeth Banks, Max Handelman, and Scott Neimeyer of Brownstone Productions, Adam also serves as an executive producer.
