The University of Iowa AirCare broke the Regan Giesinger death news for the first time on Tuesday, May 16, 2023.

She was a clinical associate professor of paediatrics at the University of Iowa’s Division of Neonatology and held the degrees of BScH, MD, and FRCPC.

The university’s official Facebook page broke the heartbreaking news of Regan Giesinger’s sudden death.

In their message, they said, “Today we mourn the loss of Dr. Regan Giesinger.”

After finishing her paediatric residency and fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine, the article claims that she began her medical career in Canada.

She relocated to the United States after obtaining a job offer from the University of Iowa, where she established herself as a leader in neonatal hemodynamics.

Dr. Giesinger shared her enthusiasm and knowledge for the academic world while serving as Medical Director for the University of Iowa AirCare neonatal paediatric transport team.

The university asked people to remember her family, close friends, and coworkers at this extremely trying time in a Facebook post.

People who knew Regan Giesinger were saddened to learn of her untimely death and began to offer condolences and honours to her on various social media platforms after learning of her death through social media.

Who was Dr. Regan Giesinger?

She worked as a clinical associate professor of paediatrics in the department of neonatology at the University of Iowa. She was the Clinical and Training Programme Director for Neonatal Hemodynamics.

She was an active member of the Pan-American Hemodynamics Collaborative’s Executive Committee and the American Society for Echocardiography’s Neonatal Hemodynamics Special Interest Group Executive Committee.

She was a doctor with a very high level of education who had made significant contributions to academia. Her brief education included the following:

MD degree in medicine from Kingston’s Queen’s University in Canada.

She also made contributions in the field of research. She had conducted a wide range of studies on neonates with perinatal hypoxic-ischemic insult, notably on the hemodynamics of critically ill neonates and the relationship between neuro outcomes and cardiovascular.

In addition to these, she also held FRCP (Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians) credentials from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and an Iowa medical licence.

Regan Giesinger’s family has not yet released any additional information regarding her passing or her cause of death.
