Who Is Shayanna Jenkins? Where is Shayanna Jenkins Now?

  • DCS

Several shows have recounted the story of the deceased football player turned convicted killer over the years, including Investigation Discovery’s “Aaron Hernandez: An ID Murder Mystery” and Netflix’s “Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez.” He was on the verge of greatness during his three seasons as a Patriots player in the NFL until his untimely arrest, trial, and conviction for the 2013 shooting death of Odin Lloyd, which was followed by his suicide. With that, we are left to worry even more about Shayanna Jenkins, his fiancée, who has always been by his side. Here is what we do know about her.

Who is Shayanna Jenkins?

Shayanna Jenkins and Aaron Hernandez originally made the decision to start dating in high school after first becoming acquainted when they were little kids playing about in elementary school. But when it came time to leave for college and start a career, they split up, only to get back together when the New England Patriots selected him. Shayanna got pregnant the next year, and in 2012 the couple joyfully welcomed their daughter and got engaged. Unaware that their wedding would never take place, she also started using Aaron’s last name.

Aaron was quickly implicated in the brutal shooting death of Shayanna’s sister’s boyfriend, semi-pro footballer Odin Lloyd, in an industrial park in June 2013. After his arrest, his fiancee remained by his side despite appearing to be distant from her sister. She was always devoted to her new family. Shayanna legally changed her name to Jenkins-Hernandez after Aaron was found guilty of first-degree murder and given a life sentence without the possibility of release. She wished to share her daughter Avielle’s name.

On April 19, 2017, which was two days later, he was discovered dead in his cell. Three suicide notes had been left behind by Aaron: one for Shayanna, one for his kid, and one for his attorney. He wrote, in part, “You have always been my soulmate and I want you to embrace life and know I’m always with you,” in a letter to his fiancée. I’m aware that you are an angel. Tell you everything that happened, but keep my love for you in your thoughts at all times.

Where is Shayanna Jenkins-Hernandez Now?

Following Aaron’s passing, Shayanna Jenkins-Hernandez exercised her legal right to sell his North Attleboro, Massachusetts, property for $1 million in addition to suing the NFL over his posthumous chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) diagnosis on behalf of their daughter. She then moved to Rhode Island, and a judge decided in 2019 that they cannot continue the $20 million degenerative brain illness claim because a deadline in 2014 was missed. Regarding the possibility that Aaron is bisexual, Shayanna has said that it wouldn’t have and still hasn’t altered her opinion of him.

“I wish that I could, if he felt that way or the urge,” I was told. And I wish that he had told me, because I wouldn’t have loved him any differently if he had. I would have recognised,” she said. “It’s not embarrassing, and regardless of the people they love, I don’t believe anyone should be ashamed of who they are on the inside. I simply wish I could tell him that I find it to be lovely. Shayanna keeps Aaron’s memories alive in her heart while raising Avielle to the best of her abilities.

She also rekindled her romance with Dino Guilmette, a former college football player, boxer, and bar owner, and they welcomed Giselle as a daughter in 2018. According to Shayanna’s social media accounts, the four of them are a happy family, and she might be organising her wedding. Her girls are obviously her first focus right now, and they likely will remain so for a long time. Even the description of one of her most recent Instagram posts said, “Low key Sunday for us, just the way we like it #mommin.”
