‘The Little Mermaid’ New Teaser – Watch Melissa McCarthy As Ursula

With its live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid, Disney is encouraging viewers to re-enter Ariel’s world in May. Halle Bailey, the star of the film, has offered a fresh look at it in honour of Disney’s 100th anniversary and to heighten interest in the release. The teaser also arrives 100 days before the movie’s premiere to coincide with Disney’s 100th anniversary.

Similar to the previous trailer shown to the public in September, this new preview includes a musical voiceover by Bailey singing “Part of Your World” while displaying some of the underwater beauty that will undoubtedly be featured prominently in the film. Additionally, the new trailer offers some sneak views into backdrops that viewers haven’t yet seen. This time, it offers a peek of what appears to be some of the other mermaids’ homes as well as an encounter between Ariel and the colourful marine life. Additionally, viewers get a brief glimpse of Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric and hear Ursula (Melissa McCarthy) laughing menacingly.

The famous story of Princess Ariel, the eldest daughter of King Triton, is revisited in The Little Mermaid (Javier Bardem). Ariel is insatiably attracted by the surface world, despite the king’s disdain for it. Ariel falls in love with Prince Eric after saving him from a shipwreck and is determined to see him again no matter what. She encounters some difficulties, though—first from her father’s warnings and later from a developing dispute with Ursula, the sea witch.
