The Order’s second season was exactly the kind of emotional rollercoaster we’ve come to expect from the programme. A generous mix of horror and supernatural drama, along with a new spin on time-honored ideas like werewolves, secret societies, and magic, have delighted viewers of the Netflix original series. The Hermetic Order of the Blue Rose, a werewolf group known as the Knights of Saint Christopher, and Jack Morton (Jake Manley), a young Belgrave University student caught in the middle of it all as he continues to learn that his family is even more connected to the dark arts than he could have imagined, are the main characters in the series.
With an intriguing plot, an ongoing conflict between two werewolves who are competing to claim Jack as their champion, and a tonne of bizarre subplots, Season 2 ups the ante for the programme. Furthermore, it leaves us in such an intriguing position that we are left wondering what will happen when a third season airs. The Order season 3’s release date, cast, and storyline are all that are currently known.
What is the release date for The Order season 3?
Unfortunately, a specific release date for The Order season 3 is not yet known. Though this isn’t necessarily negative news, don’t worry. After all, season 2 just debuted, and we’d be incredibly astonished if Netflix decided not to continue a success like The Order. Most likely, a renewal is a matter of “when” rather than “if.”
Fortunately, since the show’s release schedule has been quite consistent, we can also make an educated prediction as to the “when.” We are aware that season 1 of the show premiered in March 2019, and season 2 followed on June 18, 2020. Given this, it may be logical to predict that season 3 will debut sometime in 2021. Of course, the state of the world has caused scheduling issues, so if The Order season 3 is affected, we could have to wait until 2022 to get our fix of the Hermetic Order of the Blue Rose.
Who’s in the cast of The Order season 3?
The protagonist of the story and current protector of the werewolf Silverback, Jack Morton, is the centre of attention in The Order. Knowing this, it’s a safe guess that Jake Manley, the actor, will reprise the part for season 3, maybe beginning the next season with drastically different hair colour this time. The champions of the show’s various werewolves, including Hamish Duke (Thomas Elms), Randall Carpio (Adam DiMarco), Gabrielle Dupres (Louriza Tronco), and the recently demonic Lilith Bathory, are also likely to make a return. Grand magus Vera Stone (played by Katharine Isabelle) and Nicole Birch (Anesha Bailey) are other possible returning characters (Devery Jacobs). Additionally, there will undoubtedly be some fresh faces, and of course, any character that is still alive or otherwise mobile could make an appearance. Even deceased characters aren’t completely out of the question in this drama about dark magic.
Speaking of deceased characters, Alyssa Drake’s comeback is surrounded by a huge question mark (Sarah Grey). After all, in the season 2 conclusion of “New World Order, Part 2,” she looked to pass away at the teeth of Midnight the werewolf. Will this imply that she will never return to the show? Dennis Heaton, the creator of The Order, was very insistent about the finality of Alyssa’s death during the Comic-Con@Home 2020 panel. When asked if Alyssa was truly dead, he reacted as follows after replaying her final scene: “Naturally, she is. A werewolf killed the victim. Her throat had been severed. People lose their lives when werewolves rip out their necks.”
For what it’s worth, we believe Heaton protests excessively. There may be some creative double-speak in action here. Alyssa could be miraculously revived even if she is genuinely dead from her werewolf wounds. We might just find out if this was the original plan if the show is renewed for a third season.
What is The Order season 3 going to be about?
There are many of plotlines in The Order: Season 3 on Netflix. After tearing open Alyssa’s throat in the season 2 finale, Midnight, Jack’s former werewolf cover, is slated to commence the season as a full-on adversary. Since Gabrielle was essentially possessed by Midnight, it’s likely that she’s not too pleased with this development either. As for Jack, he was last seen walking into the woods with Alyssa’s bloodied body and the Vade Maecum Infernal, a very potent magical tome. Is he preparing to release its practically limitless power in order to pursue resurrection? Will Alyssa return unchanged if he is successful? What will she do now that she has access to the strong Foris Factorum incantation season 2?
Season 3 will have a number of additional challenges to address in addition to maybe using the most potent magic the programme has ever seen and coping with its unavoidable consequences. The grand magus, Vera, is currently without power. Lilith, who was imprisoned in Hell for a significant portion of season 2, is now a demon. It will be interesting to see how they handle their individual circumstances and what obstacles lie in wait for them and the other characters. Let’s hope that we find out as soon as possible.
