There Is A Superior Iron Man And Only Comic Book Fans Know About Him

One of the most intriguing characters shown in the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Super Bowl trailer is someone who resembles the Superior Iron Man. In some of the trailer’s most closely analysed images, this Tony Stark incarnation appears to be engaged in combat with the Scarlet Witch inside the Illuminati’s MCU headquarters.

Many hints in the trailer and even more in the comic books lend credence to the idea that this is the Superior Iron Man. Comic book readers are aware that Superior Iron Man is one of Tony Stark’s most powerful and unscrupulous alter egos, and his potential inclusion in the film foreshadows some significant future developments for the MCU.

Battle Of The Iron Men

Tony’s inverted state was discovered by Pepper Potts in The Superior Iron Man #7. She inserts an AI Tony Stark into the original red and gold Iron Man suit in order to save him and the world, sparking a fierce conflict.

The Superior Iron Man emerges victorious after the fight, which now involves the majority of Iron Man’s original armors. Even when he eliminates the AI, Pepper leaves him and declares her intention to expose Extremis in the open.

Inverted Iron Man

One of the darkest iterations of the character is The Superior Iron Man. In 2015’s Avengers & X-Men: AXIS #9, a magical spell that brought all of his worst characteristics to the fore, including his avarice and arrogance, completely flipped his personality.

Then, Iron Man relocates to San Francisco and starts working on a fresh, cost-free programme that quickly gains a lot of traction. The Extremis 3.0 virus, however, was actually the app, and it infected all of its millions of users. Even worse, Tony Stark then began charging users to continue using it.

Restoring Daredevil’s Vision

In some of the best Daredevil comics ever, Daredevil is also based in San Francisco during this period. Iron Man’s use of the Extremis virus to restore Daredevil’s vision may have been the comics’ greatest display of Superior Iron Man’s strength after Daredevil questioned him about his behaviour.

As the Superior Iron Man, Daredevil had reprimanded Tony for acting like God, to which Tony had responded that he was “playing human.” Even though Matt Murdock’s vision was only temporarily recovered, it demonstrated how misguided and powerful Iron Man had become.

Superior Iron Man’s Plan

When Daredevil admits he has discovered Tony Stark’s ultimate strategy, the conflict between Superior Iron Man and Daredevil dramatically intensifies. He understands that the app cannot transmit the Extremis virus, thus Stark must be using some other strategy.

Everyone in San Francisco is exposed since the Superior Iron Man has contaminated the city’s water supply with the virus. Later, he will be able to activate it. He assaults Daredevil and forcibly erases his memory of the incident in an effort to conceal the truth.

The AXIS Event

A catastrophic spell cast to stop the Red Onslaught version of Red Skull leads to Iron Man’s inversion. It turned out to be one of the worst things the Scarlet Witch ever did in a Marvel Comic, turning everyone’s morality upside down.

In the end, the magic is broken, but Tony Stark defended himself from it using his armour. Though it would take some time before it was clear, he was one of the very few that survived the conflict inverted.

The Battle With Teen Abomination

Teen Abomination, a juvenile version of the iconic Hulk antagonist, is one of Superior Iron Man’s earliest opponents in the comics. It’s possible that this variation occurs in live-action as well, given that the Abomination has lately made a comeback in the MCU.

Teen Abomination is a young man who has no link to Emil Blonsky and was exposed to gamma radiation. Despite his strength, Superior Iron Man’s power and self-centered mentality, which is seen in his advice on his “brand,” are unbeatable.

The Death Of The Superior Iron Man

In the run-up to Secret Wars in 2015, the Superior Iron Man meets his demise in Avengers #44. After Steve Rogers discovers that Iron Man was aware of the multiverse’s collapse from the beginning, he engages in a life-or-death battle with an older version of Captain America.

The two engage in one of Marvel Comics’ most horrific confrontations, one that is far more severe than their famous duel in Civil War, and both of them are ultimately killed when a massive S.H.I.E.L.D. helicarrier crashes.

The Endo-Sym Armor

Because of the armour the character in the movie looks to be wearing, one of the reasons fans believe that the Superior Iron Man is in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. After casting a spell that makes use of elements of the alien symbiote that gave rise to Venom, Stark acquired an all-chrome design in the comics. He is one of the strongest versions of Iron Man in the comics when wearing this armour.

The Super Bowl teaser for the movie seems to show off another distinctive characteristic of this armour. When Stark is enraged, the armour glows orange, and in the trailer it appears like this is the case with the version as he battles the Scarlet Witch.

The Illuminati

He is taken into custody and imprisoned in a glass cube cell resembling those in the film, which may be the largest hint Superior Iron Man receives in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The Illuminati, of which he is a member, saves him.

As a founding member of the Illuminati, Tony Stark witnessed many of the organization’s most nefarious deeds, including the erasing of Captain America’s knowledge of their existence. Superior Iron Man would ultimately suffer serious repercussions from this.

The Iron Sight

The existence of what appear to be Ultron drones is another important hint that the Superior Iron Man is present in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The Iron Sight, a system of chrome drones used by Superior Iron Man in the comics, may in reality include these.

The Iron Sight’s main objectives included some protection and keeping an eye on crime in and around San Francisco. Despite the fact that the movie versions of Ultron resemble the most potent Ultron varieties in the books, they might be connected to the Iron Sight.
