Tia Lupita Foods Shark Tank Update: Where Are They Now?

  • DCS

ABC’s “Shark Tank” introduced businessman Hector Saldivar and Tia Lupita Foods in season 14, episode 20. By blending traditional Mexican recipes and ingredients into its cutting-edge and nutritious product line, the brand pays homage to Mexican culture. Hector’s mother Tia Lupita, whose cherished family recipes have been passed down through the years, serves as the brand’s namesake. Tia Lupita Foods is dedicated to providing scrumptious and healthy food options that celebrate the love, heritage, and flavours of Mexico. We were intrigued by such a wonderful offering, so we chose to monitor the business’ development.

Tia Lupita Foods: Who Are They and What Do They Do?

Hector Saldivar, who moved from Mexico to San Francisco, California, is the founder of Tia Lupita Foods. To help him stay in touch with his Mexican ancestry, his mother would give him bottles of her home-made hot sauce. Hector gave some of the sauce to his pals, who were instantly taken away by how good it tasted. As soon as word got out, there was a huge demand for the sauce. Hector went back to Mexico after seeing the potential of his mother’s recipe and asked her permission to divulge the family’s special formula to the world. She encouraged him to start making the hot sauce in small amounts with healthy and natural ingredients.

Hector increased his product offerings to include a variety of additional Mexican-inspired dishes based on Tia Lupita’s cherished family traditions as demand for the sauce increased. Tia Lupita Foods is a fast expanding company that offers clients healthful, delectable, and creative food options while celebrating Mexican culture. Success of the brand is a result of Hector and his team’s commitment to building a company that symbolises the love and flavours of Mexico, as well as the strength of family traditions.

2018 saw the launch of Tia Lupita Foods, which initially focused on making the company’s distinctive hot sauce. This sauce was created using a recipe from Tia Lupita’s family and immediately became well-known because of its distinctive flavour. Hector has wonderful memories of his mother’s love of cooking and the way she used a curling iron to keep her fringe out of her eyes when she prepared meals. The brand’s logo, which embodies Tia Lupita’s passion for cooking and the family’s extensive cultural background, features this particular element.

Hector earned his Executive Education Certificate in Business Scaling from the Graduate School of Management at Stanford University. Prior to this, he received his Master of Science in European Business from the EDHEC Business School and his Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León. The native of Mexico began his career in 2003 as a Project Manager-Six Sigma at Enertec Mexico. Hector has held important positions with organisations including Nestlé and Klass Time LTD as the Client Development Account Manager and Key Account Manager, respectively. The businessman was also the Country Manager for Mexico and Central America for Diamond Foods Inc.
