Toni Collette, an Australian actress, and David Galafassi, a musician, are divorcing after almost 20 years of marriage. The 50-year-old actress and the drummer jointly released a statement announcing their divorce. Yesterday, Toni even shared the statement on her Instagram (Dec. 7).
We announce our divorce with grace and thanks, according to the joint statement. The message is placed next to a picture of a flowery sign that says “Peace & Love,” and it reads, “We’re united in our decision and part with continuous respect and care for each other.
In a statement, Collette and Galafassi said that their two daughters, Sage, 14, and Arlo, 11, were “of paramount significance to us and that we would continue to thrive as a family, albeit in a different shape.”
They wrote in the statement, “We’re grateful for the room and love you give us as we mature and go through this transition calmly. “Many thanks. Why Is Toni Divorcing David?
David Galafassi and Toni Collette have been wed for almost 20 years. The couple first connected during the album release party for Galafassi’s previous band, Gelbison, in 2002. On January 11, 2003, they were wed in a Buddhist ceremony. Their daughter Sage Florence Galafassi was born in January 2018 and their son, Arlo Robert Galafassi was born in April 2011.
