Vicky Pryce, sometimes known as Vasiliki Vicky Pryce, was born in Athens, Kingdom of the Greeks, on July 15, 1952. She changed jobs from Williams & Glyn’s Bank to Exxon Europe, where she worked as a corporate economist from 1983 to 1986. Later, from 1986 until 2001, she served as chief economist once more for Peat Marwick McLintock and KPMG International Limited.

In August 2002, Pryce became the first woman to hold the position of Chief Economic Advisor at the Department of Trade and Industry. Pryce was also chosen to serve as the Chairwoman of the GoodCorporation corporation, a group that supports moral corporate conduct.

Pryce’s Career In The Field Of Academics:

In addition to being a top-notch economist in business, Pryce also held the position of professor. From 2002 to 2008, she served as a visiting lecturer at City University’s Cass Business School. She also joined the Society of Business Economists in 2002, and from 2008 to 2011, she served as a guest professor at the Imperial College Business School.

She also made history in 2010 by becoming the first woman to hold the position of Master of the Worshipful Company of Management Consultants. From 2021 to the present, Pryce also serves as a visiting professor at King’s College London and Birmingham City University.

Everything was going smoothly until the two decided to get a divorce in 1981 and end their marriage. After her divorce, she concentrated on her career until she met Chris Huhne. Three years later, in 1984, the couple decided to wed.

After their marriage, Pryce’s second husband, Chris Huhne, went on to become both the MP for Eastleigh for the Liberal Democrats and a member of the European Parliament. With her second marriage, she produced three kids.

In January 2011, the pair filed for divorce, ending their marriage. The two received an eight-month prison sentence for perverting the course of justice after going through a divorce. Following her trial, Pryce was found guilty, and Huhne entered a guilty plea. Together, they spent nine weeks behind bars.

Despite being deeply in love since their marriage, Pryce and Huhne divorced on the grounds that Huhne had cheated on them and their children with Carina Trimingham. Pryce was furious with him after he admitted it, and they eventually divorced in 2011 a year later. As a result, their marriage ended in divorce.
