The Big Bank Challenge Goes Viral on TikTok
Users of the Big Bank challenge show off their assets, usually women. Many users have made films showcasing their attractive faces and trim waists before turning the cameras to their backs and flashing their “big bank,” or butts. Men have also jumped on board and made videos on the craze.
The challenge’s name comes from the words of the song Mean by $NOT and Flo Milli, “Cause I got a small waist, pretty face, with a big bank.” By using the handle @halle.c00l.Cat, a user first established the trend in January 2021. In the following several months, the video gained 8 million views after going viral.
The hashtag #bigbank has received more than a billion views on TikTok as a result of the trend’s popularity. The challenge has also been remixed a few times. In order to promote body positivity, people with all body shapes are creating videos to the tune of “Cause I got a thick waist, decent face, and a weird bank.”

Social Media Reacts to The Big Bank Challenge
Online commenters are reacting hilariously to the Big Bank challenge videos. One user made light of the situation by saying, “Wait, do it again, I was walking my toaster,” in the TikTok video’s comments section. One user commented on the remix “thick waist” video, “FINALLY one I can use.” Another jokingly said, “Don’t ask me the colour of nothing.”
However, other users weren’t too pleased with the challenge, claiming that it was sexist and that some people were just utilising their bodies for likes. It doesn’t seem like a smart idea to flaunt your body and show off your motions in order to get likes on the internet. Do a few better trends,” a TikTok user said.
On the other hand, some people have noted that the challenge isn’t too crude and can be utilised for amusement or some nice chuckles. One user wrote, “Finally a sound for all of us built like an air pod.”
