Billie Eilish Goes Gothic S*xy At the 2023 Met Gala
Billie Eilish, who will be attending the Met Gala for the third time, has shown that she is deserving of the moniker “queen” of the red carpet. The singer made an appearance at the 2023 Met Gala, which honours the late designer and promotes the exhibition “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty,” in a gothic sheer lace black dress, showcasing her stunning curves.
By wearing a custom Simone Rocha black and lace gown with a high neck, crystal collar, and shimmering tulle skirt, the “Happier Than Ever” singer paid homage to Karl Lagerfeld’s legacy. With lace sleeves, knee-high stockings, and soaring platform shoes, she enhanced the gothic appearance. The musician’s appearance was certainly a visual treat.
Billie Eilish, The Queen Of Met Galas…
The elegantly braided ponytail worn by Billie Eilish at the 2023 Met Gala was a key component of her ensemble. Additionally, he replicated Lagerfeld’s legacy of plaiting them in onyx ribbons, giving her Chanel dress details. He stated:
“The black bow comes to mind when I think of Lagerfeld. Barrettes that I layered into the loose texture of the pulled-back hair were used to complete the look, claims Mohapi. “This echoes Billie’s own nonconformist attitude and recalls the same punk energy Lagerfeld put into Chanel.”
Billie Eilish has made it quite obvious in three back-to-back appearances at the esteemed annual gala that she understands how to adhere to the Met Gala dress standards. For instance, Billie Eilish attended the Gala the previous year wearing a Gucci gown to honour the “Gilded Glamour” theme.
She did adhere to the motif with her sparkling icy blue and beige corset, lavender flowers, and gathered off-white skirt. “All existing materials so we didn’t have to waste a bunch of stuff — this all already existed, and [we] just wanted to be as eco-friendly as possible,” she said of the materials used to make her gown.
The artist co-chaired her first Met Gala in 2021 as the event’s youngest co-chair. The singer sported a peach Oscar de la Renta corset ball gown and blonde bob hair as she sat next to Timothée Chalamet, Naomi Osaka, and Amanda Gorman. Eilish, however, nailed it this year with her gothic appearance. How do you feel?
