Dilraba Dilmurat, one of the most prominent Chinese drama actresses of her generation, has established a name and reputation for herself in the Chinese entertainment industry. Dilmurat, a member of the Uyghur minority in western China, was born and reared in Xinjiang, China. She had an arts education, focusing on dance, and after enrolling at the Shanghai Theater School, she decided to become an actress.
