13 Best Red Carpet Looks From This Year’s Emmys (2022)

As we look at the Emmys 2022 stories flooding in on all of our notifications, the biggest night of the year has here. The evening isn’t complete, though, until we reflect on all the glitzy outfits that our favourite celebrities wore that night. Many celebrities attended the event, and in contrast to earlier red carpet events where they opted to go all out, many of them kept their overall style under control, elegant, and polished.

But because this isn’t the Met Gala, they must also feel confident and at ease when they accept their awards on the grand platform’s stairs. Here is a roundup of some of the night’s best looks that we can’t quit praising. While some choices are apparent, others made us gape in shock and take a second look.

Amanda Seyfried

Seyfried was a first-time candidate for her work in The Dropout while donning a’mermaid’ pink sequined Armani Privé Couture gown. Her short hairdo highlighted the Cartier earrings she was seen wearing, and her floor-length gown during the occasion clung to her bodice and glistened. She chose a cosmetics colour that was purple and complemented her dress.

Andrew Garfield

Garfield appears stylish in his all-white suit attire. The star of Under the Banner of Heaven selected an ivory Zenga suit for the evening. Although he wasn’t the only person wearing white, he certainly owned his style with his chic appearance and casual sliver-rimmed sunglasses.

Britt Lower

Britt Lower, the Severance actress, was another person who embodied the “Gilded Age” idea. She shone on the red carpet in a glittery dress with torso cutouts. The outfit and her long, dramatic gloves added to the brilliance of what otherwise may have been a typical function appearance.

Christina Ricci

The Yellowjackets actress, Christina Ricci, attracted attention in her golden, dazzling Fendi gown. She complemented her floor-length dress with a matching clutch and a harsh haircut. The Emmys fashion night gains credibility thanks to her sequin dress.

Colman Domingo

The adored Euphoria star eschewed the classic black and white sophistication in favour of a glittery outfit. He wore a translucent black top with his suit, which added drama to the occasion. He appeared to be the most distinctively attired man on the red carpet thanks to pattern embroidery and embellished shoes.

Elle Fanning

Fanning, who was nominated for her portrayal of Catherine the Great in Hulu’s The Great, walked down the red carpet wearing a vintage “Hollywood-inspired” gown designed by “Outstanding Period Costume” designer Sharon Long. She said during the event that she modelled her style after 1950s fashion, when dressmakers preferred to create costumes for such occasions. Additionally, as it was her first Emmy, she was “extremely proud to wear” it and “wanted to pay honour to the creatives on our show.”

Jung Ho-Yeon

Ho-Yeon, who looked elegant in her delicate costume, wore a Louis Vuitton garment that had an abstract pattern all over it that served as a symbolic reminder of the set design of her K-drama Squid Games. A single hairpin accessorises and holds together her hairstyle, which is styled in a bob with bangs that fall down her forehead. Although she had a long career as a model before making her acting debut in the aforementioned series, she now consults with her team when it comes to red carpet choices and characterises her current appearance as “a very natural yet detailed style,” as she told Hollywood Reporter.

Lily James

In her form-fitting Atelier Versace, Lily James James was a bronze vision. The actress, who was recognised for her work in Pam & Tommy, arrived on the red carpet wearing a smokey eye in a bronze shade to go with her ensemble. She may appear blonde during the show, but for her nighttime look, she has returned to her auburn roots. In addition to looking elegantly peaceful and complementing simple gold jewellery, the entire ensemble does wonders for the woman wearing it.

Lizzo

Lizzo stood out at the Emmys 2022 by sporting the largest pink ballgown on the red carpet, which complemented the singer’s personality. Lizzo wore everything, including ruffles, ball sleeves, skimpy shoes, and jewellery by Lorrain Schwartz, and she turned heads by finishing the look with a high bun. The outfit’ bombastic tulle texture makes me feel just as ecstatic as she did when she won her Emmy and gave it to the “huge grrrls.”

Nicholas Hoult

Hoult chose a traditional black suit, unlike the other two men on this list, but his inclusion on this list is justified by the way The Great actor’s fitted blazer magnified the flaring pants in striking contrast. It wasn’t the traditional black suit choice for such an event. Additionally, he completed the appearance with a single necklace tucked beneath his collar, and the patch on the sleeves of his blazer displayed an intriguing statement.

Sandra Oh

The Killing Eve actor Sandra Oh looks like purple royalty while wearing a sequin-encrusted Rodarte costume. Her long chandelier earrings worked their own magic, but the deep neckline of the shirt and the coordinating jacket helped to complete the look for her. She most certainly owns the shade of purple.

Sydney Sweeney

The Oscar de la Renta dress that the White Lotus and Euphoria actress chose could easily pass for the “Gilded Age” motif for the last Met Gala. At the occasion, she wore vintage rings and jewels by Fred Leighton. Her dress is finished with a bustle in the back and beautiful flower embroidery.

Zendaya

Distinguished members, Her, need I say more? The rule is that she must be at the top of all fashion “Best dressed” lists. Zendaya showed up to the ceremony to accept the prize for her portrayal of Rue in HBO’s Euphoria while dressed elegantly in all-black. She is now the youngest woman to win the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series Emmy and likely one of the few women to have donned a ballgown with pockets. Her custom-made black strapless Maison Valentino choice reveals splendour in all its grandeur on the red carpet with her lone accessory being the Bulgary diamond choker and earrings.
