Extraordinary Attorney Woo season 2 release updates, renewal, cast, and more

  • DCS

Extraordinary Attorney Woo turned out to be one of Netflix’s most popular shows of 2022, making it one of the most successful Korean TV exports of all time.

The wholesome show follows 27-year-old Woo Young Woo (Park Eun-bin), a recent law graduate who navigates life on the autism spectrum and breaks down misconceptions of autistic people lacking “social skills” and “emotional intelligence.”

If you’ve already seen the 16 episodes, we’re sure you’re hooked and hungry for more. Well, now fans of the popular weekly K-drama can rejoice as the series will be returning for a second season, though it seems we still have a bit of a wait until its return. Find out everything we know about the upcoming release below.

Has Extraordinary Attorney Woo been renewed for season 2?

Back in 2022, due to the success of the first season, the CEO of the network ASTORY (the company behind the smash-hit Korean drama), Lee Sang-baek, revealed that there are plans for a second season of the addictive drama, but we will have to wait until 2024 to see it.

“Thanks to the support of many people, we will produce season two of Extraordinary Attorney Woo. The goal is to air season two in 2024.”

However, according to Digital Spy, despite the positive update from the network CEO, the status of the show still isn’t official as the final decision lies with ENA, the channel that broadcasts the adventures of Woo Young Woo in South Korea. Nevertheless, if it does happen, then a 2024 release date looks very feasible.

When could Extraordinary Attorney Woo season 2 come out?

Currently, season 2 doesn’t have an official release date, but as mentioned, if the series is green-lit by ENA, a 2024 release is on the cards. With season 1 premiering during the summer of 2022, it would possibly suggest that the drama could also return in the summer of 2024, though this is just our prediction. The official release date could be sooner (or later) than we have predicted. We’ll make sure to keep you updated once when more news is released on the show.

We can expect to see the following cast members return for season 2:

Jeon Bae Soo as Wo Gwang Ho

Baek Ji Won as Han Seon Young

Jin Kyung as Tae Soo Mi
