Although it’s officially forbidden to blend business and pleasure, many wonderful relationships—including those on Hollywood sets—have begun there. Renowned couples like Tom Holland and Zendaya met while working on the Spider-Man movies, and Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively began dating while filming Green Lantern. Bennifer also got her start on Gigli. Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde on Don’t Worry Darling are one of the most recent apparent couples to flourish while working together. Styles has discussed the experience of working with his rumored girlfriend as a director in advance of the movie’s release.
Harry Styles Shared Experience Of Being Directed By Girlfriend Olivia Wilde On Don’t Worry Darling
Harry Styles recently released Harry’s House, his third solo studio album, which is brimming with romantic songs like “Late Night Talking” and “Cinema.” The radio presenter on The Howard Stern Show (via People) questioned him about falling in love while filming a scene in between asking him about his new album. Styles maintained a formal tone throughout the exchange by saying:
Oh, wow, how do I respond to this? Being directed by Olivia was a tremendous experience for me. I believe there is something that, obviously, makes acting occasionally quite unpleasant. I believe you must have a lot of trust. It is a gift to be able to trust your director. The was incredibly beneficial, and it made working on that movie a really enjoyable experience.
While Harry Styles remained mum on their rumored romance, he did talk about his enjoyment of working with Olivia Wilde on his third film. The secret was to “trust” the director, who had previously made his directorial debut with the 2019 film Booksmart.
They first met on the set of Don’t Worry, Darling in September 2020, and by the time they attended a wedding together in January 2021, whispers of their romance had begun to spread. The two appear to still be together more than a year later; only last week, they were photographed together while on holiday in Italy.
After nine years of marriage and two children, Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis previously divorced in early 2020. The actress/director was awkwardly served custody papers when she was giving a presentation for Don’t Worry Darling at CinemaCon in Las Vegas last month. The Ted Lasso actor had “no prior awareness” of how the papers would be sent to her, according to a source close to Sudeikis.
Harry Styles and Florence Pugh play a 1950s couple residing in an experimental utopian village in the director’s most recent motion picture. The housewife starts to suspect that her husband and those close to her are keeping unsettling secrets. Chris Pine, Gemma Chan, Nick Kroll, and Olivia Wilde, who ended up acting as well as directing, are all included in the cast. View the trailer for Don’t Worry, Darling:
The actress/director and musician have been subjected to more attention than they might have preferred over a private situation that they obviously wish to keep secret because they are such well-known figures. She’s tempted to correct the “false narrative” about their connection that the Richard Jewell alum has already talked about. The director, who claims to be “happier” than ever with her alleged beau, has however concluded that “it doesn’t matter what others think.”
The release date of Don’t Worry Darling, one of the many thrilling new movies in 2022, is slated for September 23. Also available for streaming right now is Harry Styles’ most recent album, Harry’s House.
