What is Hell’s Paradise About?
Based on the well-known manga, Hell’s Paradise tells the tale of Gabimaru The Hollow, a former Shinobi who has been given the death penalty for betraying his clan and breaking the law. No manner of execution can put an end to Gabimaru, who seems dispassionate and wants to pass away.
A renowned executioner named Sagiri notices Gabimaru and offers him a job that might help save him. After realising that he wants to live for his wife, Gabimaru accepts the position. As Gabimaru and Sagiri travel to a treacherous island in search of the elixir of life from strong immortals and deadly animals, the plot takes a terrible turn.
“During the Edo period in Japan, the Shogunate of Japan offers a chosen group of prisoners facing death the option to be pardoned and set free in exchange for travelling to a recently found island southwest of the Ryukyu Kingdom. According to the official narrative, the prisoners are protected by special guards to prevent escape.
As they arrive, they are confronted by the inhabitants of the island, a large number of monsters, as well as their creators, a group of immortal beings. In order to halt the immortals and leave the island, the prisoners and the guards must now cooperate.
