Hannah Saab added the following on February 15, 2023:
Adventure movies like Everything Everywhere All at Once and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish are among the 2023 Oscar nominees. Even though they haven’t made much of a dent in IMDb’s top adventure films, there are a lot of other award-winning hits further down the list that you should check out.
‘Inception’ (2010)
People often say that Inception by Christopher Nolan is one of the best sci-fi movies ever made. It is about a group of professional thieves led by a “extractor” named Dom Cobb. They do something that has never been done before: they try to plant an idea in the victim’s mind. They don’t do this to steal information. Cobb doesn’t tell his team that something from his past could make their already hard mission even harder.
Fans and critics alike love the box office hit because it is a first-of-its-kind journey through the layers of the mind and has stunning visual effects and a new idea. Its exciting scenes take place in big (and often moving) sets that add to the film’s fantastical and thrilling feel.
‘Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark’ (1981)
In Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones, a brave archaeologist, goes on an amazing journey. Along with his brave girlfriend Marion Ravenwood, the characters find themselves in a race against bad guys who want to find the lost artifact for bad reasons. The next part of the story is a dangerous adventure full of twists and traps that the main character has to get through.
The exciting movie is full of twists and turns that show us more about the characters and why they do what they do. As the audience grows more interested in Jones and Marion, the story starts to focus less on the artifact itself and more on their exciting journey. Fans can only hope that the upcoming sequel, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (due out June 30, 2023), lives up to the very high standards set by the first movie.

‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’ (2018)
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is a well-reviewed animated movie that introduced the Marvel hero to the idea of the “multiverse” before it became popular. It shows how the likeable Miles Morales tries to be a superhero and do his schoolwork at the same time. This gets harder as he meets other Spider-Man characters from all over the world. They need to work together to stop the bad Kingpin and his “super collider” before it’s too late.
The movie’s beautiful images steal the show and make a bigger impression than its well-written characters. The bright colors and crazy transitions used to show Miles’s amazing experience make it look like pages from a comic book have come to life. It’s a great animated movie that holds up surprisingly well next to more recent ones of the same kind.

From the last leg of Frodo Baggins’ journey to the heart of Mount Doom with Samwise Gamgee and Gollum to well-known characters like Gandalf, Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli getting ready for battles, the movie brings together and wraps up the big adventures and story arcs that have kept people interested for years.
‘WALL-E’ (2008)
Wall-E may be a fun animated movie, but its story about the last robot in a world full of trash shows that it is also about the real problem of climate change. The movie is directed by Andrew Stanton and made by Pixar. When a spaceship with a robot who is better at technology than Wall-E arrives, he stops doing what he usually does, which is to clean and sort the trash. When just one living plant is found, everything changes.
Wall-E’s wild journey through space is the stuff of dreams. He bravely goes through a strange ship where most of the people depend on technology. The movie does a good job of balancing funny and lighthearted parts with more serious ones. Of course, there are some parts that will make you cry.
