You’re going to love the Japanese dating reality show “Is She the Wolf?” on Netflix. Five women and five men who are all looking for love are featured in the show. The situation is anything from straightforward, though, as at least one of the female competitors is a “wolf” who can only come clean at the last round of confessionals. Despite the dubious-sounding premise, the on-screen actions make you cheer for the developing love tales, including those that involve the “deceivers.” However, is the programme as real as it seems, or were some incidents staged? Here is what we do know about it, though!
Is Is She the Wolf Fake or Real?
No, we don’t think ‘Is She the Wolf?’ is pre-written. The programme actually takes inspiration from the Japanese programme “Who is the Wolf?” The two series do, however, differ significantly in a few key ways. The Netflix series only has female wolves, although the original show has both male and female wolves, which is the first significant difference between the two. The identities of any and all wolves are also kept a secret until the end of the season in the second programme. Is She the Wolf?’s cast is likewise considerably older than that of its sibling programme.
The Netflix series does not feel contrived in large part due to the amount of thought and absence of drama. The majority of the cast members engage in interactions that are consistent with how viewers might anticipate them to behave. When two people are competing for the same person’s attention, the “rivals” don’t seem to harbour animosity towards one another, which is undoubtedly a mature attitude to have when it comes to love and romance.
