A sort of sequel to the 2018 Indian anthology film of the same name, Lust Stories 2 on Netflix features four short film segments directed by R. Balki, Konkona Sen Sharma, Sujoy Ghosh, and Amit Ravindernath Sharma. Each of the four stories creates a lasting impression on the audience and pushes you to consider the complexities of desire by artistically examining delicate and sensuous issues like marital intimacy, sexual pleasure, domestic abuse, and retribution. Additionally, the realistic characters are brought to life by the talented ensemble, which makes it easier for viewers to identify with their predicaments and experiences. Are Ishita and Seema Lesbians?
While it’s easy to think that Ishita and Seema would be attracted to one another sexually, the truth is that they’re just looking for excitement in their routine lives. Ishita feels excited when she sees Seema and her husband engaging in intense interactions because she privately suffers from extreme loneliness and yearns for some connection in her life. On the other side, Seema invites Ishita to conceal and observe them because she is inquisitive about her employer’s odd interest in her sex life. Although it isn’t stated explicitly, it is hinted that both women are lesbians since they are intrigued by one another and sensitive to one another’s needs in a way that others might not.
Does Suraj Singh Die?
In a sad turn of events, Devyani’s elaborate scheme to exact revenge on her husband fails, and she instead pushes her beloved son into death. Rekha is intended to woo Suraj Singh, but instead she has a sexual encounter with Ankur, shocking his mother. Devyani understands that Rekha will soon expose her son to HIV Aids, bringing about the awful end she had planned for her husband. While his son suffers the consequences of his father’s harshness, Suraj Singh is blissfully oblivious of his wife’s preparations and survives uninjured.
Is Shanti A Ghost?
In addition to having a frightening presence, Shanti is surrounded by a number of strange occurrences, including her enigmatic absence from years ago. She is not a ghost, though; rather, she is a haunting element of Vijay’s mind, who mocks him for his sinister actions and curses him to spend all of eternity with her because of what he did to her. Although Shanti actually passed away all those years ago, he is now seen by Vijay as an undertaker who is compelled to make him pay for his wrongdoings as he alternates between life and death before crossing over to the other side.
Made For Each Other: Plot Synopsis
The film directed by R. Balki, titled “Made For Each Other,” centres on Veda and Arjun, a young urban couple whose union has been prearranged by their families. While they are deciding to be each other’s life partners, Veda’s elderly grandmother, AKA, Dadi, gives them a rather unexpected bit of advice: she advises them to first test their sexual compatibility.
Indian families typically view pre-marital sex as forbidden, thus Veda and Arjun’s parents are shocked by Dadi’s openness about it. While the latter’s son and daughter-in-law start to avoid her, her granddaughter decides to test the chemistry in bed with her future husband after hearing her counsel. Veda, Arjun, and their families experience a sequence of painful realisations that change the way they view what constitutes a successful marriage.
Made For Each Other Ending, Explained: Do Veda and Arjun End Up Together?
Veda and Arjun become intimate after Dadi counsels Veda to try dating Arjun first. She subsequently admits to her grandmother that she wasn’t as happy with the act as her fiance was. Regardless of age or circumstance, Dadi uses this as an opportunity to emphasise the value of female pleasure in a marriage and the need for closeness. The former then uses Veda’s parents’ terrible marriage and an example of her own successful marriage to persuade Veda. Even if everyone else disregards Dadi’s counsel, her granddaughter follows it and makes an effort to ignite a spark with her spouse.
Veda and Arjun eventually achieve the sexual chemistry and affection Dadi often mentions, and they show signs of being content with one another. When they inform her of this, she joyfully praises them and explains that her only goal is to help them understand that for a marriage to succeed, partners must adore and desire one another with the same fervour at every stage, even after the honeymoon phase has passed. Arjun and Veda get married and embark on a happy marriage with this in mind. However, even Veda’s parents are aware that in order to remain happy together, they need to maintain their intimacy despite their advanced age.
Sex With Ex: Plot Synopsis
The third episode of “Lust Stories 2,” “Sex With Ex,” is directed by Sujoy Ghosh and begins with a wealthy businessman named Vijay heading to a crucial meeting. He receives a hot video chat from his mistress in the middle of nagging calls from his wife and her father, which causes him to become distracted and swerve the car directly into a tree. Soon after, with the cyclist’s assistance, Vijay makes it to the enigmatic village of Parasiol, where he finds a mechanic to fix his automobile. While waiting, he wanders about and encounters Shanti, his ex-wife who allegedly vanished years ago.
Despite Shanti’s initial reluctance to engage with Vijay, she soon extends an invitation, and the two talk about what went wrong in the past. She keeps telling him to go before it’s too late, but he ignores her warnings. Vijay and Shanti experience a surge of nostalgia and become overcome by their emotions, yet something doesn’t seem right about the circumstance. Over time, the distinction between reality and imagination becomes hazy, pushing them to confront their past demons.
Sex With Ex Ending, Explained: Is Vijay Dead or Alive?
Vijay promises to set everything right and exact revenge after Shanti informs him that his current wife, Anu, attempted to kill her and drove her away. Vijay suddenly discloses that it was he who attempted to kill Shanti all those years ago for financial gain and that she must die now so that his future is secure after the estranged couple engages in intense lovemaking while overcome by emotion. As a result, he suffocates her to death with a pillow before fleeing the house as the neighbourhood cop shows up.
A startling discovery awaits Vijay when he rushes to the scene of the collision with his car: onlookers are extricating his lifeless body from the wrecked car. He is startled by what had transpired as he unexpectedly runs into Shanti. She advises him to go as soon as she requested him to because there is no way out of his current situation. This suggests that following the tragedy, Vijay finds himself caught between life and death, where he must face his past mistakes and decides to do them again. As a result, he is genuinely dead in the mortal world and is imprisoned with Shanti in the afterlife.
The Mirror: Plot Synopsis
The second short film, “The Mirror,” is directed by Konkona Sen Sharma and centres on Ishita, a middle-aged single lady who has had a very successful career. She unintentionally returns home one afternoon to find her maid Seema having sex with her husband in bed. Ishita is initially disgusted by Seema’s audacity, but to her surprise, she appears to take pleasure in seeing the couple engage in sexual activity. She so makes it a point to sneak home every day when her maid is entertaining her husband.
Ishita eagerly observes Seema and her husband frequently having intense sex in a mirror image and starts to enjoy herself out of curiosity. When the latter, realising her employer’s sexual dream, decides to continue having a sexual relationship with her husband while being observed, things take an unexpected turn. However, an unanticipated argument has severe results that force Seema and Ishita to reexamine their sexuality and relationships with one another.
The Mirror Ending, Explained: Do Ishita and Seema Reconcile?
Ishita and Seema get into a furious argument after she unintentionally alerts Seema and her husband to her presence. Ishita accuses her housekeeper of being shameless for engaging in such behaviour behind her back, but the latter charges that she is perverted for finding enjoyment in witnessing others have sex. After a protracted disagreement, a remorseful Ishita dismisses Seema without realising that their altercation has raised quite a stir within the flat building. Days go by, and both ladies continue living their lives as they normally would, although they mysteriously feel empty without their illicit arrangement.
In fact, when Seema’s husband confronts her over not telling him that Ishita was watching them engage in sexual activity, she admits that she finds a weird pleasure in doing so. One day, while shopping for groceries, the two women run into one another and end up making amends for their earlier foolishness. Furthermore, they quietly imply that they unexpectedly miss each other’s strange presence in their private moments. Unexpectedly, Seema accepts Ishita’s desire to go back to work.
Tilchatta: Plot Synopsis
The main character of Amit Ravindernath Sharma’s “Tilchatta (AKA Cockroach)” is Devyani, who is held captive in a wealthy landowner’s abusive marriage with Suraj Singh. In addition to abusing his wife, he also openly abuses his authority and even sexually assaults the housekeeper. Devyani endures all of Suraj’s crimes in the meantime so that her son Ankur can have a better life. However, she is unaware of how deeply distressed the small kid is by his father’s brutality and his mother’s powerlessness. However, when a young housekeeper named Rekha shows up at their house, things quickly take a dangerous turn, compelling Devyani to act independently.
Tilchatta Ending, Explained: Who is Rekha?
Suraj Singh is drawn to Rekha by her flirty and unassuming demeanour from the moment she enters the house, but little does he realise that he is stepping into an elaborate trap prepared by his vindictive wife. When it is eventually revealed that Rekha is one of the young prostitutes from the brothel that the former lived at, it is first implied that Devyani is oblivious of her husband’s cunning eyes on her. Rekha has HIV AIDS due to the harshness and negligence of a customer, therefore Devyani decides to engage her as a maid and appears to give her the order to seduce Suraj in vengeance for his vileness so that he too contracts the disease.
What is Dadi’s Mount Fuji Theory?
Dadi compares sexual pleasure to the eruption of Mount Fuji when she instructs Veda to determine her sexual compatibility with Arjun, noting that it is crucial that both partners experience closeness equally. In order to have a happy relationship for the rest of her life, she encourages her granddaughter to express her needs to her partner. Veda eventually understands the significance of her grandmother’s advice and expresses gratitude to her for being so understanding despite their generational differences by joking that the Mount Fuji theory truly applied to her and Arjun.
