Leon’s Instagram announcement that they are transgender stunned Sister Wives fans. Leon told his followers that while they didn’t have everything sorted out in life, they did know who they were at their core. Leon stated to Sister Wives viewers, “My name is Leon or Leo (I adore both), and my pronouns are they/them,” that they wanted to let everyone know that they are trans. Leo said that despite growing up in a conservative society, they were prepared to accept their true identity because they had always known they weren’t a girl.

Leon wore shorts and a T-shirt for the photo they took of him. They leaned against a doorway and appeared to be completely at ease with themselves. Leon said they are quite proud to identify as “genderqueer and trans.” Leon admitted that one of their favourite aspects of themselves is that they identify as LGBT. Leon is still getting to know themselves and will keep introducing themselves to their fans. To be in charge of establishing their own boundaries, they made the decision to divulge their private information. Leon made it clear that they won’t put up with anyone not using their proper name or pronouns and that they’ll be happy to cut off communication with anyone who chooses to be illiterate.
Audrey shared a picture of themselves and Leon attending the Pride event in Salt Lake City back in June. Fans observed that Leon and Audrey both had their shirts undone in the picture to show their support for Audrey’s recent top surgery. Fans of Sister Wives are anxiously awaiting Meri Brown, Leon’s mother, to respond to the news and observe Kody Brown’s reaction to his new kid.
