Michael Oher alleges that he was not paid for the film
According to the petition, Michael didn’t get paid anything for the movie. In contrast, the Tuohy family made millions of dollars from the Academy Award-winning movie.
Sean said that Michael gave “half” of his “share” while speaking with the Daily Memphian and that the family “didn’t make any money off the movie”. “Well, Michael Lewis gave us half his share,” he said. Michael received the same amount as the rest of the family members. Each one cost around $14,000.
Oher responded to the allegations made in the Tuohys’ petition. “I am disheartened by the revelation shared in the lawsuit today,” the statement said.
