Murder Mystery 2, the follow-up to the 2019 mystery comedy starring Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston, has debuted its first official trailer on Netflix. While attending their close friend Maharajah’s opulent wedding, Nick and Audrey Spitz go on a new adventure; however, things quickly change.

Murder Mystery 2 Trailer Features a Wedding Extravaganza Gone Wrong
The Spitz couple receives an invitation to the Maharajah’s wedding on a private island in the trailer’s opening moments. The two initially hesitate because of how their last vacation worked out for them, but they ultimately decide to attend their friend’s wedding. But soon before his wedding, the Maharajah is abducted, casting all the guests as suspects.
With the aid of expert investigators, Nick and Audrey are now in a race against time to find the kidnappers. For their assignment, the two must travel to Paris, which in a manner satisfies Audrey’s desire to visit France. On March 31, 2023, the movie is scheduled to be released on Netflix. Nick and Audrey Now Work as Full-Time Detectives
The Spitzes are seen working as full-time investigators and running their own agency in the movie, which is set four years after its predecessor. The sequel to the first movie, which was partially based on Agatha Christie’s Death on the Nile, will be a remake of her other well-known novel, Murder on the Orient Express.
“Four years after solving their first murder mystery, Nick and Audrey Spitz are now full-time detectives struggling to get their private eye agency off the ground when they’re invited to celebrate the wedding of their friend the Maharaja (Adeel Akhtar) on his private island,” the official synopsis of the movie reads.
But when the groom is taken hostage shortly after the festivities begin, tragedy follows the Spitzes once more, making every glitzy visitor, member of the family, and the bride herself a suspect.
It continues, “Murder Mystery 2 sends Nick and Audrey Spitz on a high-stakes case that provides them everything they’ve ever dreamt of: a chance at their detective business actually succeeding…and their eagerly anticipated trip to Paris.
Several New Actors Have Joined the Cast in the Sequel
Adeel Akhtar will reprise his role as the Maharajah in Murder Mystery 2 in addition to Aniston and Sandler. John Kani, Jodie Turner-Smith, Mark Strong, Enrique Arce, Mélanie Laurent, Annie Mumolo, Tony Goldwyn (Scandal), Kuhoo Verma, and Zurin Villanueva are among the new cast members who will appear in the movie.
James Vanderbilt, along with Aniston and Sandler, is the movie’s writer and producer. Charlize Theron, Tim Herlihy, Barry Bernardi, Julie Goldstein, Lucas Smith, Kevin Grady, and Beth Kono serve as executive producers in addition to Joseph Vecsey, Judit Maull, and Jonathan Loughran who serve as co-producers.
