On January 12, 2023, Lisa Marie Presley, 54, passed away. She was the famous “King Of Rock And Roll” Elvis Presley’s daughter. Since Lisa’s passing, her daughter and grandmother have fought bitterly in court over her trust; however, the matter has now been resolved, much like how the family of the late Elvis Presley resolved it.

The dispute over Lisa Marie Presley’s trust has finally been resolved between Riley Keogh, the granddaughter of Lisa Marie Presley, and Priscilla Presley, Elvis Presley’s former wife. After Priscilla’s attorneys submitted a petition challenging the “authenticity and validity” of an amendment made to Lisa Marie’s living trust in 2016, the two became embroiled in a continuing trust dispute.

As a result of the adjustment, Keogh and Lisa’s late brother Benjamin took over control of her trust, and Priscilla and Lisa’s old business manager Barry Sieger were no longer co-trustees. However, Priscilla contended that because she was ignorant of the modification, the amendment had to be revoked.

The Graceland home and a 15% share in Elvis Presley Enterprises—Priscilla being a co-founder—that were acquired for $110 million in 2022 are part of the trust. Riley’s side was about to submit a settlement proposal when Priscilla and Riley’s legal representatives reached a settlement in a Los Angeles courtroom on Tuesday (May 16).

“They have come to an agreement. Families are content, said Priscilla’s attorney Ronson Shamoun following the deal. “Everybody is content. united, cooperative, and enthusiastic about the future. Riley is pleased with the cooperative action, according to Keogh’s lawyer Justin Gold. On August 4, 2023, a hearing and motion to approve this settlement will take place.

In January, Lisa Marie Presley underwent emergency cardiac arrest treatment and was sent to the hospital. According to a statement from a representative of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, paramedics were sent to the 5900 block of Normandy Drive in Calabasas to assist a woman in her 50s who was not breathing. Then, her identity remained a secret.

The moment they arrived, they started performing CPR while observing “signs of life” in the patient. They then took the woman to a nearby hospital for “immediate medical care.” She was unable to move any further, though. Her mother verified that she had passed away. A statement was issued by Priscilla’s agent:

The untimely death of their beloved Lisa Marie has stunned and upset Priscilla Presley and the Presley family. They humbly appreciate everyone’s love, support, and prayers and ask for privacy at this extremely trying time.

Lisa experienced a number of unhappy marriages in her personal life. Riley and Benjamin were born to Lisa and Chicago-based musician Danny Keough after their 1988 marriage. But the pair had a divorce in 1994. Sadly, Benjamin killed himself in 2020, a year before he would have turned 28.

Four days after Lisa Marie’s memorial, Priscilla’s attorneys filed a petition in LA contesting the “authenticity and validity” of the 2016 amendment to her living trust. This launched the trust dispute, which has now been resolved.
