Back in April 2016, there were rumours that Selena Gomez and Aaron Kaplan were working together to develop and script the drama series “Rising,” which was dubbed the “Latina version of “Empire.” The programme, which is filmed in a Latino neighbourhood, centres on an 18-year-old girl who is destined for greatness. Selena will also executive produce the programme alongside Kaplan and Mandy Teefey through their Kapital Entertainment company.
