The third season of the well-known Spanish drama Sky Rojo recently debuted on Netflix. Three prostitutes escape their cruel pimp in the plot of the dark comedy series. Sky Rojo was the brainchild of Money Heist inventor Lex Pina, who also created Money Heist, which piqued spectators’ interest even more.
After binge-watching the third season, viewers are now asking for more of the program. But will there be a fourth season of Sky Rojo? For more information, keep reading.
Will Sky Rojo Return with Season 4?
The news that Sky Rojo won’t be back for a fourth season may surprise fans. With season 3’s end, the program has come to an end. The third season of the show will be its final, Netflix has already stated when confirming its renewal in August 2021.
“Sky Rojo will return for a third season, bringing Coral, Wendy, and Gina’s odyssey to a finale. Eight episodes will make up the final season, which will debut in 2022, the streaming service had previously said.
It was a creative choice, not low viewership, that led to the show’s cancellation. The storyline between Coral, Wendy, and Gina was wrapped up in the third season of Sky Rojo, which was always intended to be a three-season series.
Show’s Star Miguel Ángel Silvestre Had an Emotional Reaction to the Ending
Moisés actor Miguel ngel Silvestre recently revealed that reading the show’s conclusion made him cry. “When I read the finale, I started crying because it was so sad. When I read it, it stung a lot, and I felt really empty. Lex Pina was the one I called because I needed to tell him what the result had done for me.
I adored the conclusion, but I needed to have a lengthy conversation with a person who is extremely familiar with the story’s themes of life, long-term judgment, and second chances. He told me a lot of things. In this life, the company you keep and the food you eat define who you are. And I believe that Moisés has had a lot of bad luck in that area,” he continued.
Verónica Sánchez played Coral, Asier Etxeandia played Romeo, Lali Espósito played Wendy, Yany Prado played Gina, Rauw Alejandro played Diego, Catalina Sopelana played Greta, and Tiago Correa played Darwin in Sky Rojo.
Álex Pina will now Develop More Shows for Netflix
Even though Sky Rojo is over, Pina will continue his illustrious run on Netflix. He has already begun work on the Money Heist spinoff Berlin, which will trace the history of the beloved character from the first program. This year, the series will be released at some point.
Pina described the show as “a tour through the character’s golden era, when he looted all over Europe mad in love.” In essence, it’s a series that features white-collar crimes, suspense, adventure, romance, and—most intriguingly—humor. The comedy is what surprises me the most. The creator is also working on another series that is based on the Covid-19 pandemic.
