The world of Stranger Things is growing! The streaming service revealed that an animated series based on the well-known programme is in the works on Monday, April 10, 2023. The Stranger Things creators, The Duffer Brothers, along with Eric Robles for Flying Bark Productions and Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen through 21 Laps will produce the unnamed series.
“We’ve always dreamed of an animated ‘Stranger Things’ in the tradition of the Saturday morning cartoons that we grew up enjoying,” the Duffer brothers said in a statement. “To see this dream realised has been simply wonderful.”
“We couldn’t be more blown away by what Eric Robles and his team have created – the writing and artwork are outstanding, and we can’t wait to share more with you,” Matt and Ross Duffer continued. The journey continues.
The beloved show’s animated version has been in development for a while. The release date of the animated Stranger Things spin-off series on Netflix is still unknown. Fans can wait for the fifth and last season of the show until then.
In May 2022, Netflix released Stranger Things Season 4. The fourth season of the show had numerous unexpected twists and turns as well as devastating deaths. The kids’ battle against the villainous Vecna, who appeared to be an extension of the monsters they have been battling since season 1, was the focus of that season’s suspense.
Season 4 of the all-time most watched English-language Netflix series allowed viewers to observe the Sadie Sink character Max travelling to his residence in the Upside Down (against her own wishes). She was lucky to be alive.
The future of Max is still unknown as viewers eagerly await season 5 of the show. She was last seen in a coma, and from some of her last spoken words, it seemed possible that the creature had blinded her.
