Taboo, the gothic Victorian TV series starring Tom Hardy, now has a tentative start date for its eagerly anticipated second season. A mysterious and intriguing character named James Delaney, played by actor Tom Hardy, returns to London after spending a considerable amount of time in Africa as a result of the passing of his father in the 2017 FX original series Taboo. Taboo, which lasted for 8 episodes and featured Oona Chaplin, Jessie Buckley, and Jonathan Pryce, received generally positive reviews. Hardy and Steven Knight previously collaborated on Peaky Blinders, and Knight has mentioned that he plans for Taboo to have two more seasons, one of which was already announced in 2017.
As Knight reveals that they have a date when they anticipate to start production for season 2, it appears that the wait is almost over and fans of the programme can get excited again. According to a statement made by Knight at a gathering in Birmingham (via Broadcast), filming will begin “towards the end of next year.” Although Knight and Hardy both say they are “eager to proceed,” it appears that scheduling has been the main cause of the holdup.
