What does The Flash trailer reveal?
The trailer makes it look like Ezra Miller plays two different kinds of Flash. Barry will use the Speed Force to go back in time and stop his mother from being killed. But this will mess up the entire timeline, and Barry will have to deal with a lot of bad things in this new reality.
The Flash’s plot is mostly about time travel, which will lead to one of the most important events in the DC Universe. James Gunn did say that The Flash will change some things in the DCU, which will set up the other movies in the “Gods and Monsters” chapter.
But the trailer shows that Ben Affleck will be back as Batman from the Snyderverse, which will be the main timeline of this movie. Fans are most excited about this movie because Keaton is back as the Batman from 1989. The trailer shows not only what Keaton looks like in his Batsuit, but also what the character does.
But he isn’t the only character from past movies who will be back. In this trailer, Michael Shannon’s General Zodd is shown as the main bad guy. Shannon was last seen in Batman v. Superman, and he will be back in this movie in a big way.
Adapting the Source Material of Flashpoint
The movie is based on the plot of the Flashpoint comic book. In which, Barry Allen’s story was also about going back in time. But he ends up in a dystopian world where all the big heroes are fighting in a huge war. Atlantis and the Amazons have fought each other in war. Both of them want to rule the world on the surface.
But Reverse Flash was the only one who caused that much trouble and was the main bad guy in that comic. Superman, on the other hand, never got to Kent. He ends up in the hands of the government, which used him as a test subject.
Neither Aquaman nor Wonder Woman have been seen in the trailer. On the other hand, Supergirl takes the place of Superman in the story. As the trailer shows, the movie will pick up where “Man of Steel” left off.
But Earth will suffer in this other universe because there is no Superman. Two versions of Flash will work with Michael Keaton’s Batman to get Supergirl out of the Government’s hands so she can fight Zod.
